Recap: rajiv helps suman out with the making of the kheer. Suman's father sees suman with prem, in rajiv's house and in rajiv's room. He is in deep shock and anxiety.
Suman is standing by the window. Wind is blowing veryhard. She is thinking about her conversation with prem. Suddenly someone wraps a shawl around suman. No points for guessing that it is our darling rajiv. He tells suman that she might catch cold so she would better wrap the shawl. Suman moves away from rajiv and tells him that she doesnt like it when he does so much for her ( Yeah, right. The truth is that his good charms are making you fall for him). Rajiv tells that he likes to do things for her. And he does this for his own sake as he feels happy when his love is happy. At that moment devki comes in carrying a tray with a glass of milk.
She tells Suman that hasmukh bhai is not feeling well so she is going to give this milk to him(so why did you come here and ruin the conversation?). she then asks suman to take the milk and spend some time with her father.
Hasmukh is also thinking about suman's conversation with prem. Suman comes into the room and enquires after her father's health, very lovingly. Her father doesn't answer her. Suman then asks her father that if she has done something which has offended him. Hasmukh then tells that if he lace in their upbringing. Suman is shocked. He continues that he has always been very strict wth them, which may have compelled them to hide some of their wishes. But he always wanted his daughters welfare. He is about to start lecturing suman about her marriage when rajiv comes in. Rajiv asks his father-in law about this health and asks him to rest. He and suman then leaves.
Suman is sleeping peacefully in the bed and rajiv in the sofa when his choti chachi knocks on th door. rajiv keeps the pillow and blanket on the bed. Suman opens the door and sees that choti chachi has tears in her eyes and she is mumbling. Suman and rajiv are clueless.
Suman's mother is adorning the aarti ki thali. She says that hasmukh and suman are getting very late to arrive. Chaitali says her that they will com and says thatit will be better if hasmukh is a little late. She says that as soon as he will come, he will start giving orders. Neela tells that it is his love. chaitali tells thatwhy does he always need to scold, he can show love by talking politely. the phone ring. Neela keeps the thali on the table and receives the call. The thali falls down. Neela tells that it is inauspicious. Chatali tells that nothing wrong will happen. The door bell rings and neela opens the door.
Suman is standing at the doorstep, wearing a white sari. A dead body is lying down, covered with a white cloth. Neela is very shocked and she mumbles....Rajiv..... Rajiv comes from behind and slowly all suman's in-laws gather ( what a family! a person is dead and they are giving special effects). The cloth removes and we see the dead body of Hasmukh. Neela is speechless. Chaitali comes out and is shocked. She starts to cry loudly. Suman goes near her and she cries ( she was crying, as if a neighbour has died. at first she wasnt even crying)
Rajiv does the 'antim sanskar' of his father in law. There neela bangles are being broken, mangalsutra and bindi are being taken off and sindoor is veing wiped. Chaitali asks them to stop and she hugs her mom. Devki tells Suman to control herself ( suman was in good comtrol. Her crying shows that she is expert in notreacting tosituations. Maybe they wanted toshow that she is very strong) a she and her sister wil now have to take care of neela. Ketki tells that hasmukhbhai was avery calm person and now he has left. Neela tells that he has left her all alone.
Neela is sitting in the room with a woman ( i dont know who she is butshe is shown quite often in this family). Neela thinks about the pandit's prediction that suman's dosh will give a hardtime on the family. Suman comes in and neela looks at her an thinks that i suman's 22nd year has bought ths mishap on hasmukh.
*Performance wise, Kiran karmarkar was the best. He had little scene but heacted very well.
*Chaitali was very good in her crying scene but Suman reacted very little. She was behaving quite normal.
*Best scene was the father and daughter scene.
