Saurabh Arya to act in 'Saathi Re'

The actor, who has graduated from doing bit parts in Balaji soaps, has landed himself a role in 'Saathi Re' (Star one). Saurabh Arya will play Mayank, the son of a family that's being introduced in the show. He starts shooting from November 28.

Though Saurabh believes he is yet to strike it big, he has come a long way since he was appointed assistant to Ektaa, four and a half years ago. Spotting his talent, Ektaa cast him in 'Kkusum' and he has done quite a few episodic shows since then, including in 'Darna Mana Hai' (Star One).

Apart from a recently released film, 'Hota Hai Dil Pyar Mein Pagal', Saurabh also did a stint in 'Jasoos Vijay'(Doordarshan). "It was Ektaa ma'am who showed me how to smoothen out my rough edges. I have learnt a lot from Balaji Telefilms," says Saurabh.
