hello everyone. so disclaimer first- i watch sns once every 3-4 months whilst channel surfing so i have no idea what is going on. i have regretfully watched the last 3 epis and was wondering if anyone can explain to me what brand of crack the cvs of this show smoke and where can i get some?
so from what i understand meera who is the new and improved gopi the gaye's 'fast and western' 'bad' beti is married to her sister's FIL and is by virtue of her daddy issues in love with him. and her husband- once a happily married man is in love as well. which old man wouldnt be? his wifes (idk if thats the truth) looks like shes a boring abla nari types push over. meera is spunky and no-nonsense types fun loving girl. so meera brings some life into his dull disciplined life and he falls. no judgements here. thats fine with me. it happens more commonly than we think. heck marrying a guy who couldve been your father used to be very trendy in ekta serials. the only weird element is the sister's FIL bit but ok i'll ignore that. i actually am liking that they're not trying to moralise their saucy relationship and justify it. they're in love and i buy that. its refreshing. but what the fudge is this excuse to keep them together?!? is he a divorcee? then why does the first wife live with them? and if not, then by all accounts of law this meera and dharam marriage doesnt exist...its not valid...why do they need a divorce? and even say for arguments sake that dharam didnt register the marriage with his first wife (shravan and the silent sister (GoT reference for the fans) would then be illegitimate but lets forget that as well), even then they wouldnt need to stay together for 6 months! they dont share children and he has adult children with another woman, they can-on those grounds file for an easy annulment! so what the hell are they trying to show? having 2 wives is somehow, somewhere in india legal?...its not.
now coming to this nautanki with the kid- correct me if im wrong but gopi's 'sanskaari' beti isnt illiterate and didnt marry a village boy right? i mean i know she dresses like she could be her mother's gau-wali mausi but she IS educated no? then she knows via common understanding of her citizen's rights that ppl (father included, the in-laws arent even worth discussing) cant just take your kid away and give it to someone else right? THEN WHY THE HELL ARE THEY WASTING TIME CRABBING ABOUT IT IN THEIR HOUSE?!? vidya could literally call the police or some nari sanstha and be like- oh! good plan fat buddhi but no thats not how the legal system works...i dont think im gonna give you my kid and i really dont care about your sad granddaughter's pathetic life or your dull village problems. the first right is the mother's and the dad can only contest if the mother cant provide for the kid and considering that my family is richer and better educated than yours...ya no chance there. im gonna move to another country if you so much as try. cos guess what? i have the resources for that. (wasnt jigar gonna move to america cos they have business there? vidya can do the same) and im leaving to my mothers. shravan you can either stand here pouting like the spineless little fool worm you are or come with me. no pressure, if you dont come, ill get the divorce papers sent to you. considering your dhoka thats actually a very generous offer.
BUT NO! they're standing around crying and discussing this as if its a matter up for debate! 😲😲😲 all these serials try to show giving away your children as some grand gesture- that too to an able-bodied young girl! like get the hell out! its simply selfish and careless parenting! but then again vidya is about to b a teen mom so i guess shes gonna consider her options before unloading her child on the other teenager.
so folks pls explain to me- are there laws in this village the sns ppl live in? and if no, where is this place? maybe if i come down with a terrible disease, ill pull a walter white and move there to cook meth. 🤪
peace out!
