Well...it was illegal when Radha and Paridhi drugged Jigar and then Radha slept with him. It was illegal when Radha married Jigar when he was still married to Paridhi. It was illegal when Rashi Jr. tried to kill the family. Did anyone protest about that?

Meera marrying Dharam isn't even illegal. It's just weird.

Now if later CVs decide that Dharam's first wife is still alive or something, then it's illegal. But that's for the CVs to decide. 😆

It's not weird It's just not everyone's cup of tea 😆

If Dharam's wife is alive then it's still not illegal. They could've got divorced.

I'm just saying that it's only illegal if Dharam's wife is alive and they are still married. Otherwise there's nothing illegal about this marriage.

And marrying your sister's father-in-law isn't exactly a common situation now is it? 😆 That's why I'm saying it's weird/strange, but definitely not illegal.

It' is a weird situation but I think it would be worse if they had genuinely fallen in love or fancied each other before the marriage. At the moment it is just a contract marriage. If they gradually fall in love after then according to Indian drama standards it would be better than if they just ended the marriage.

Oh I thought you were referring to the age gap. Yes I agree, it's going to be weird to see two sisters as saas bahu. Doesn't Vidya become Shravan's masi then? Cus technically, he will be Meera's son 😆

I think Dharam's left his wife or she left him.

@bold

That reminds me of an Ekta Kapoor show that used to air on Imagine called Bandini. In that show, the younger sister ended up marrying the older guy, but then her elder sister falls in love with the old dude's eldest son. Then the villagers don't let them get married because they say he cannot marry his maasi.

Funnily enough, in that show the old guy was called Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi and here the character is Dharam Suryavanshi. 🤔😆

And there Ronit Roy had a mooch and here Amar Upadhyay has a mooch.

And they both played Mihir in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi! 😲 🤣

Yeah I had the same discussion with someone else earlier. Don't forget Kasam Se, one of Ekta's popular shows where there was also the same plot. Maybe Ekta Kapoor is giving tips to the team cus it defo sounds like one of her stories 😆

Gotta say everything is such a scary coincidence with the same names, actors and all!

I never watched Kasam Se. but I'm sure this type of storyline has been done many times in previous shows which is why some of us are unfazed by it.

When it comes to Indian TV, everyone's inspired by Ekta Kapoor. 😆

Neither did I but I know it was very popular. I can only think of Kasam se and the other show with Ronit Roy as Dharamraj which had similar storyline 😕

Of course Ekta Kapoor did make Kyunki after all. That show was a household name, still is.
