It is difficult to make out Shravan's character, in whose favor he is in. He said the same thing to Dharam that when the Modis are giving the girl to him, they have every right to know about his family. But at the same time he is a puppet in Gaura's hands which cannot be ignored.
We don't know anything about Shravan's mother either. Meera was afraid that her secrets will come out. She is not afraid of Dharam.
