Ahem left his family and took the girls with him. That is the mistake he made. He left the girls to Mansi to take care of them.
How can he expect a stranger to do that?
I don't have even an ounce of sympathy for Mansi. Though she gave 10 years of her life and took care of the girls, she never bothered about what they do & where they go.
I think that is the sole reason as to why she was unable to make a place for herself in Ahem's heart.
