To be fair to Ahem, everytime he tried to support Gopi , Koki would create chaos in the house like the time when he did not get her name deleted from school, when Gopi was discharged from hospital after the accident or when the mad woman held Meera hostage, valentines day, even during the achar fiasco, so much that after these attempts he just gave up probably.

But he did not support Gopi when it mattered the most. He did not ask Gopi what had happened exactly happened when she rescued Meera from the cliff.

absolutely, agreed. He should have trusted Gopi and known that she will never harm anyone especially her own daughter . I was just saying that he just gave up even trying to think beyond his mothers words or reason with her (Koki even controlled him a 24 year old married man from going to office as a punishment because he went out with his wife and was late for an appointment??) . There is no way Ahem can be said to be right in his behaviour towards Gopi on the Meera incident .
