I know I've said this before. But this is truly the end for me. I don't care how gopi gets ahem back..or how she solves the family problems. Ahem has another woman and he obviously never met gopi in jail. He doesn't care if she sees him 15 yrs later with someone else. Ahem is not Gopi's soul mate. He wasn't ever..It was just a figment of our imagination. Our crazy stories and ff s etc made ahem out to be the best and perfect husband. He's not..he's just a guy who needs a woman. And really never loved gopi...He should have divorced her and gone ahead with some corporate chick long back. He's no hero..he's no one's soul mate. Ahem Modi is nothing but a selfish man. I agree gopi is completely responsible for this. But the character of Ahem is totally gone. The last 20 years were a mistake. And we have been made the biggest fools ... ahem just didn't lovee anita..otherwise this would have happened long back. He'll he was even ready to marry radha... shows what an idiot we have been idolising. Ahem Modi can just go to hell as far as I'm concerned. .and the bestpart is our stories etc make no sense now. He has never loved her and he is not worth being any sort of hero. Today I can say I feel I've wasted the last 3 yrs.

This is exactly I posted in another thread. He never loved Gopi, never cared for her.. How can he go to other woman if he loved her dearly.. Did not even bother to see her in jail, anger does not do anything... I am so upset abt this.

Noe even the above mystery is solved. She made Kokila to promise her that neither she(Kokila) nor any of the family members will meet her during her term in jail. That has made Ahem more angry. He felt that she does not care for him & his family after having taken such a step.

Sunny, Gayatri, Nikki: Gopi is a nutcase, Ahem is/was a mamma's boy and Kokila only ever wanted a servant and baby machine but she didn't think she would become attached to Gopi. For her it was her son and son only. We always knew that deep down Ahem never loved Gopi, he accepted her and grew fond of her. But by taking that promise Gopi showed that Ahem did not mean anything to her. In her mind she was right, in his he is right that she does not care for him and his daughters and therefore laments the past.
Sunny I wish I could say to give up on SNS but not on the members here but know deep down that it does not work that way.

@bold: Same here. I think everyone wishes to give up but once we discuss in a forum there won't be anything else to talk about & moreover once we start watching a particular soap, we get addicted to it. That is the biggest problem.

Coming back to the show, I will say that Ahem did not love any woman in particular. He did not even love Anita as Sunny said. Even I have been telling the same thing in some of the posts. If he loved Anita he would have convinced Koki by taking the help of the elders or he would have married her (Anita) against her (Kokila's) wishes.

Taking this scenario, I can only say that MEN ARE MEN.

Thats what I said in another post of Anasuya, that everyone is actually right in their own ways here... so h=no one should be blaming anyone..
I agree Kokila wanted only servant and not bahu, but Gopi won both Kokila and Ahem's hearts and Kokila had accepted her fully as her dear bahu.. .So that should end there..
As for Ahem, we all know he did not love her as she loved him...
NOw the blame game has started, just because she did not want anyone to go to jail to see her because that might affect the raising of her children... I don't think there is anything wrong in it.. SO now Ahem is blaming his mom that she promised her that no one will go to jail to see her...

Kokila wanted a bahu who is docile & Gopi met that requirement. If you say servant, It was Urmila & Rashi who treated her as a servant. They made her to do everything from A-Z. It also included dirty work like washing vessels, cleaning the table, cleaning toilets etc. But Kokila never made her to do any dirty work. On the contrary when Gopi was washing vessels in the kitchen, Kokila stopped her and told her that it is not her work as she is the dil of this house and her status is much more than the servant. When Rashi dashed Gopi and the food fell on the floor, they asked Gopi to pick it up but Kokila came to her rescue.

I agree that Kokila was rude to her in the beginning but she never made Gopi to do any dirty work. She eventually won Kokila & Ahem's heart. I agree that Ahem did not love her. Then who did he love. If anyone says that it is Anita but was spineless, I won't agree with that. If he loved Anita, he would have automatically got the spine. If a person loves someone they will have guts to say so.

Since this is a very lively discussion, I thought of putting my own views in as well.
Yes, I agree that in the beginning Koki wanted a DIL like Gopi who is meak, docile, and will pretty much be a servant of the family. However, after a lot of trouble and significant effort from Gopi's side, she did manage to win over Koki. If you guys notice something, Koki was the one to support Gopi even before most of the family and even Ahem. I don't think that Gopi was equal to a daughter for Koki, or otherwise she would not have kicked her out when Mira disappeared. However, she was still much more than a typical DIL (which is a slave to satisfy the needs of her husband's family and hten serve her husband's whims in the remaining time).

In contrast, it was kind of obvious that Ahem never loved anybody other than himself and his beloved mother. He accepted Gopi because she fit well in his family. She satisfied his needs and made everyone happy. He was very quick to blame her when anything went wrong. He never stood by her like she did by him. The fact hat he never went out of his way to make her happy or to suport her sort of proves that he never loves her.
Now to your stories, I really loved reading all of them. For me they created an alternative reality in which Ahem actually lved Gopi form the bottom of his heart. They created a version of Ahem that I and most other persons adored. So, please never think that they all went to waste. Because, although they did not serve the purpose that you intended them to, they served an even bigger purpose. They proved how creative you guys can be, and how much better all you guys are when compared to the mindless CVs.

Just as no woman can be the perfect daughter, daughter in law, wife or mother, there is no such thing as the perfect man. All of us, to some extent, have failings and to make things perfect we write ff, OS, and SS to take ourselves into a world where everything is perfect.
Love is a fleeting moment. It is wrapped up in many ways, in many facets and many treat it as if it is God. Some people go through life experiencing what ever is the flavour of the month and call it love. However, there is an even greater emotion(s) than that. Which is respect. The respect that evoles itself to affection and is in actual effect more stronger than love. (Sorry, I'm waffling on here 😳.)

Going back to the original topic. It's true, Ahem didn't much care for Gopi, but there was affection. But imagine what a slap in the face it was for him when Gopi declared, without consultation or consideration of him and her daughters she decided that no member of the family was to have any contact with her. Up until that point he was "heartbroken" and was in turmoil at the separation. Being a wife and a mother she had no right to make that decision.
