Funny thing was I only starting watching it when we got Sky TV in 2006. Within a few days of watching, there was a time leap of 20 years and story shifted focus to Tulsi's grown up grandchildren. 😆

Loll actually I did not watch when it aired, one day last year I was bored, was on vacation, I thought why not watch this show , it was hyped so much... I was curious to see what it is about.. Then I watched the whole show on youtube...😆😆.., you will think I am crazy... yes I watched all on youtube.. 😆😉

I recognize her from Pyar Ka Dard. She was in that show for a couple of episodes. And she was also in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai for a couple of episodes.

Yes, I think it is really turning out to be K-Ekta Kapoor Serial. But, this is not the first kawab ki haddi in sns. The first one was
Rashi between Jigar & Sonal.
Anita between Ahem & Gopi.
Radha between Ahem & Gopi.
Anurag between Ahem & Gopi.
Radha between Jigar & Paridhi & more.


There are some similarities between Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi & Saath nibhana saathiya.

Payal & Mandira coming between Mihir & Tulsi. Anita in between Ahem & Gopi.

Tulsi killing her own son for freeing him from the burden of sins. Gopi killing her own sister for the same cause.

Tulsi getting imprisoned in kyunki, Gopi being behind the bars in saathiya.

And now this new lady is another version of Anita.

But Ekta Kapoor's serial was the height. She butchered it by bringing Mandira in Mihir's life when he became the grand-father of grown-up grand children.

I hope this dosen't become another kichhdi.

TV actress Kajal Pisal will join the cast of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya after the 10-year leap. Kajal, who has been doing many episodic shows since the last one year after her stint with Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain, was last seen in Savdhaan India.

She said, "I will be playing the love interest of Ahem Modi (Mohammed Nazim) and it is a positive role." She will be competing with Gopi Bahu (Devoleena Bhattacharjee) in the show. She added, "After 10 years, a lot of things can change. I will be playing a modern woman, who works in a corporate. I will be seen wearing designer saris and western clothes."

Guess this will be tough competition then, for the sari-clad sati-savitri Gopi bahu. We also asked Devoleena about her look in the show and she said, "Yes, there is the other woman angle and my look will also undergo a change. Though I will continue to wear saris and my character grows older, I don't think I have to look old in the show. After all, which TV actress is shown with grey hair even after leaps? So my character is getting just a subtle makeover."

I don't think she will be a positive character. She will be an another version of Anita. Who knows? She will be her elder or younger sister. She will also be a negative character.

But I liked the actual singing competition. In fact, my whole family loved that particular episode. Gopi's lyrics were beautifully written. You could clearly see what set Gopi apart from Anita. It was like Gopi in her own way told Anita straight that Ahem was hers and hers only. No theatrics, no OTT drama. Back then, Gopi had her own way of doing things which set her apart from other TV bahus. That scene when she brings him the water when she sees him coughing and they finally speak after days because Rashi made her promise she would not talk to him. I loved the look of admiration Ahem gave to Gopi when she won in the end. I miss those days...

Btw I was only kidding. Just the whole thing gave me a sense of deja vu. I wish CVs will stop this awful abit of recycling old tracks. 😡

Yes, now I don't want the repetition. The track should be different.
