The family are walking along. Gopi is upset at the turn of events. The family again reassure her and Kokila tells her not to mind. What is passes has passed and to look forward. They will find Rashi. Everyone consoles Gopi and Paridi reminds her of her faith in her kana. Things will work out.
Evening at the beggar woman's house. She comes in and deposits a crying Rashi on the bed, scolds her and heads off. Rashi is crying. Three of the elder children give her a bottle and try to tend to her. The woman comes back and scolds them for giving milk. She tells them to move away. Rashi starts to cry. We, once again see the snake in the rafters. Rashi seems to sense its presence and calms down.
The following morning Hetal rings Ahem and he explains that they did not get Rashi as Radha had lost her. Hetal is distressed and relays the information to the others. Baa is especially upset. She suggests heading to the temple to pray.
Gopi is hunting for Rashi and she succeeds in upsetting another mother. The rest of the family are showing Radha's photo to random people who all deny seeing her.
A man is speaking to a priest saying that he has had the idol of maa in his house for 9 years. He says he now has a girl. The idol is no longer venerated and he will buy a new one. Gopi steps forward and prays. The man tells her that she shouldn't join her hands in front of a statue, that the statue has no relevance any more. Here Gopi lectures him that albeit a statue it is still of maa and she sings its praises and its significance of being a mother. She apologises to Kokila and says that she will lead the procession to submerge the statue in the waters of the lake. Kokila says that she will go with her too and silences Ahem's concerns.
The statue is led with full ceremony and prayers to the waters edge and is submerged gently and with reverence into the water. Gopi and Kokila stand and pray. The snake appears and sits on some material. I assume it is close to Gopi. Gopi looks on but Kokila tells her not to be scared and that the snake means her no harm. Gopi agrees and feels that the snake wants to lead her somewhere. Kokila says to follow.
They follow the snake through the ground and back to the road. Eventually the snakes come upon the beggar woman and appears to stop near her. At that moment Rashi starts to cry. Gopi recognises the cry, calls out and chases the woman who runs before eventually tripping up and throwing Rashi into the air. Gopi screams. The family hear and run towards her direction. Rashi falls and is caught by Radha. Gopi chases her but loses her in the crowd.
The police nab the beggar woman and she leads them to the house where they free the other children. The children thank Gopi and pray that she gets her baby back soon. Radha is nearby and smiles saying that not only will she get her money but will use Rashi to make their lives hell.
She calls them on the phone, taunts them and is enjoying listening to the grovel, beg and cry. Especially Paridi who has gone totally overboard. She is especially rude to Kokila Modi and taunts her. Radha tells Gopi how she wants the money, where and warns her not to involve the police. Kokila assures her that no police will be involved. Radha hangs up. It is here that Kokila gives her rousing speech of the next day being auspicious and rallies them. However, the words of the sage keep coming back to haunt her. She is troubled.
Pre cap. Ahem is troubled and is concerned that he will not be able to help Gopi if she finds herself in difficulties. Gopi assures him that she will be fine and that she is who she is because of him. Missed the rest as the sound cut out.
Note from me. Weren't Gohem supposed to flying out to the States a few days back? They must be paying shed loads to change the travel dates.
