Meera - Has a beautiful ring to it.😳 The little girl who has captured the hearts of all Modis is to be called Meera. 😛 Looks like it is time for some happiness in MM. Everyone is excited except for you all know who. But lets talk about our Urmi's nightmare in a minute.
My most favorite scene today was the half shaved Ahem running off his list of names 😆 Poor man did not get a chance to name his own child in the end and succumbed to his wife's wishes. But he cannot decide on a single name which was a problem. If Naani and Baa fight with each other, Ahem fights with himself😆.. Niharika, Nikki, Neha.. Don't know what Ahem's fixation on the letter N is but he rattled of names to the amused Gopi. She agreed they were all pretty, Nikki maybe a bit too modern. But then Ahem wants the best name for his girl, his daughter who he now loves completely.
One can see the excitement in his eyes as he talks about her, the protectiveness as she gnashes his teeth hearing SB talk about boys as heirs. He knows that SB is talking rubbish, for his daughter Miss Chottu Ahem Modi is no less than any male heirs. She will be the best of the best and will make his dreams come true. A father's pride and possessiveness for his daughter. I think I am going to enjoy this father-daughter relationship a lot😃
It was fun seeing the entire family decide on names. Baa and Naani are still at it, each fighting the other on who will name the baby. Parag declares Beti M the heir to Modi industries😲 and says Mahima would be a good name for the future CEO😉 Koki starting out a skeptic, soon goes name hunting herself as she involves in the excitement.
I loved how the entire family said they had a name when the panditji asked. In my house we had to finally resolve to lots to get the name. No one would agree to one suggestion😆 One was not modern, one could not be shortened to a pretty nick name.. so on and so forth.. But Gopi hit the jackpot. She managed to keep her MIL happy and also keep the others happy by taking out a letter from each of their suggestions. Meera it was combining all their wishes. Baby M is the first of her generation. It is cute that she got her name from every member of the family sans her father of course😉 Maybe we can call her Mikki Ahem Modi for short😆
A social message was passed along the way, a message that is relevant. It does not matter what child it is, boy or girl. There is no need to differentiate. A girl is not 'paraya dhan'. She actually brings families together. She is someone who needs to be celebrated. SB as usual runs off with her mouth and voices what Urmi has been itching to voice since Meera came into the world.
Koki's explanation is for all those who think like SB and Urmi. Yes. Males were considered heir apparent for long but that is slowly fading away. A girl is as much part of the family as a boy. Very well said👏 If what Parag says comes true and Meera decides to be part of her family business when she grows up, there can be none the happier😃
Coming back to Urmi. What stupidity. 😆 She expected her dream to come true every minute she stood next to Koki. Well ,we need but only wait till tomorrow for that to happen😛
The fact that she called Meera as Choti Gawar😡 was demeaning. Somehow these days Urmi gets it all right back in her face. Naani's mistake of calling her a servant was perfect😃 What you sow you reap😊
Rashi and Meethi are still mixed in Naani's brain. Rashi is feeling for not being pregnant. So for the umpteenth time, someone please tell me if this longing of Rashi's is an actual longing to be a mother or just the fact that Rashi likes the idea of having the baby or being pregnant.
I feel sorry for her. The Peer pressure is just too much. Gopi has a daughter. Her neighbors in the same age are either pregnant or have children. Rashi feels left out most certainly. But that is not reason enough to want a child. A child should be wanted for itself. It is not something that makes your status go up. It is not something that you want only because others have it.
A child is a gift on its own. Baa is right. Rashi's turn will come. She just needs to be patient. Sometimes you have to wait for somethings to happen in life. That is destiny and fate. You get what you deserve and what you can handle. Maybe Rashi is just not ready yet😊
Jigar these days seems to have caught Rashi syndrome. His anger peaks in a minute and then he is all soft the next minute. Looks like the baby gets accidentally covered with blankets due to the fan's speed tomorrow and Jigar gets to shout at Rashi.
He will apologize of course but mentioning Rashi's wish to become a mother was a low blow. Anger, I get it. But words hurt. Karma I guess. But I still feel sorry for Rashi. Somethings hurt too much and this is one of those
** Let me say it. When I saw Gopi sorting the baby clothes, I was grinning. Something that comes hand in hand with a baby is the amount of laundry you have to do. It was simple yet realistic touch. Loved it.😃
** Never seen Koki this excited as naming her Grandchild. Looks like she is slowly getting to be the daadi now.
** Mota Bhabhi is utterly cute. Swati Shah's expressions are way too good👏
** Poor Ahem. His Mikki will have to be Meera. No Nikki either. But he did look cute with the half done shaving😆
** I did not like Jigar's Kurta. 😕
