The loss, the anguish and the fear of the unknown was felt by Ahem. He was nearly paralysed with these emotions as his face was visibly drained upon finding out that Gopi was missing. He struggled to fathom why she did what she had done.
Ahem knows the person Gopi is. One who is always willing to oblige. So here she had done the same. Her innocence, genuineness and want to help had put her in this position. However he envisaged her and their baby to be in harms way too.
Fortunately for Ahem his dad suggested a way forward otherwise he would have pondered that bit longer. He did not need any direction from his mother on what to do next.
These angst feelings were quite unlike any previous occasions experienced before for Ahem. For instance, like when Gopi got late in returning home with Rashi from shopping or when she got lost in Switzerland or when she went missing during the previous Janmashtami. Now there is urgency in his concerns and of finding her. His visible concerns is becoming outwardly expressed rather than suppressed and unreadable.
Next will be the instincts he has acquired in knowing her that will support him in finding her. This will be the litmus test of how well he knows of her.
When Gopi is found, will there be a conversation by him to her about doing sensible things in her changed circumstances?
