I think that because Star Plus have messed up with the sacking of Giaa Manek, they are now trying to finish this series as soon as possible which is why everything is happening so quickly on SNS. star Plus know that people are going to or have already stopped watching Saathiya so before they drop in the ratings they will just finish it off!!!
It may end, it may not end. We'll find out eventually. But to blame Saathiya's dramatic demise over Gia's exit seems silly... so does blaming the story line. Saathiya's story was already a little weak (why else was Anita there for eons?). But now it's picking up thanks to the Gopi/Ahem confession.
There are people who will watch Saathiya for the sake of the story and the other cast members (the true fans). And there will be people who be obstinate about the Gia issue.
