It is indeed sad that Gopi has been changed...

However, it's business for Star Plus and Gia and the producers etc... Doctors, engineers, PM's, President's, Kings, Queens, mother, father, children... All come and go...

It seems like the end of the world... It does seem to slow down...Nothing seems good... No colour bright and all lights dull...

And then life goes on... We learn to laugh and live and slowly the space gets filled...

In soaps it is the most common occurence...

To all those who are taking this up as a cause and campaign... Take a step back... Serials are just that... Entertainment... Fiction...you will be surprised that sometimes in life your own priorities will stop you from watching your favourite serials... Just ease up... If one must fight... Let it be a worthy cause...

I personally feel that spending so much time and energies rousing people into action for such frivolous causes as getting a soap character back... Is simply too shallow...

I have myself been watching Sathiya from the beginning... And love Gia as Gopi...If Gopi had gotten a big movie offer... Do you think she would have stayed back???? Remember Prachi Desai... Why even Ram Kapoor is having the same problems with his serial Bade Acche Lagte Hain where there was such an excess of body doubles, that many ardent viewers found frustrating and stopped watching...even Mohnish Behl walked out of Kuch Toh Log Kahenge...

If say Gopi was to have gone till the finale... The serial would have suffered... They would have had to work that into the story... Like they gave done for Barun Sobti in Iss Pyaar...And then there is that movie he is doing... For Gia, today it is Jhalak... Tomorrow it may be a movie... Why is it wrong for the producers and channel to protect their own interests... There is a whole huge starcast whose future us at stake... Nobody should have the power to affect so many lives...

If it affects you too much... Give it a break... Stop watching for a while... you will realize how silly your own vehemence and fanaticism will seem to yourself in hindsight...

All things must come to an end eventually... If you must fight... Find something you will feel good about all your life... Serials are moments in life... I remember the sheer madness of Kyunki... And how I loved it... And I loved Saans... Fame Gurukul... IndianIdol... All that madness... And now... I feel foolish...

We must always keep one thing in mind... It is just a TV program...they will always come... And thry must always go...open it... Shut it... Forget it...

I completely agree with u ... I too am sad that I won't enjoy the gohem scenes as much but u r absolutely right ... It was fun entertaining and yesterday we saw nazim / ahem being such a sweet heart so it's entertainment and I love it !!!! Wish luck to all involved ... Keep having your fantasies .. And all nothing wrong there but don't stop life ... And let this be a lesson in life .. Don't get so involved in an imaginary life ...!!! There is soo much more to life I'm 23 and I can assure u there is sooo much to do and see that all this will feel really foolish very soon ...!!! Remember the good times when u r in a pensive mood watch ahem on you tube !!! Chilll love

Well said.I too addicted to SNS but now I feel bad for that.I'm changing my habit of watching serials now.I stopped all the serials and started to read books and playing games. It's really doing wonders in my leisure time now.Really feeling thanks to star plus for removing my fantasy world to real world.

I'm sooo glad you brought this up. This is what is irritating me the most about people getting excessively emotional about this. It's one thing to sign a petition or to write an email but some people seem to take it extremely far. And it's disturbing to see how far people will go for A FICTIONAL SHOW when there are much worse things happening in the real world that need our attention (women's rights, minority rights, stopping animal cruelty, saving the environment, etc). People don't put forth even half as much effort for important causes.

I personally feel that spending so much time and energies rousing people into action for such frivolous causes as getting a soap character back... Is simply too shallow...

Some comments in green

You articulated this extremely well.

It's upsetting and disturbing to see people take a fictional show and the entertainment industry so seriously.

Sadly, I think this issue is dividing this forum intensely.
There are the people who think like you do and either a) stop watching the show in peace or b) will continue watching the show for the sake of the story and the other actors.
Then we have the hardcore Jia fanbase who is not happy with not seeing Jia every evening and are upset that there are viewers who still watch the show.

I know this is the internet and anonymity brings out the worst in people from time to time, but I'm still appalled at some things I've seen here in the past two days.

Agreed. Also I find words like 'loyalty', 'betrayal' too strong for this whole situation...
I mean the fact that I love Ahem does not take away anything from the fact that I love my husband. And tomorrow if I see a hotter or cooler guy, I might shift loyalty from Ahem in a jiffy and would hate it if that's called betrayal...
