Gopi was so happy that she won the singing competition due to the support of her Kanaji & her maaji & above all her happiness was more for the fact that her Rashiben had taken back her promise & she was now able to talk to her Ahemji. She expressed this heartfelt thanks to her kanaji in the mandir for being with her always !!!
Ahem walked into the room to see his wife ironing clothes & though his wife, even when she was not talking to him, took care of his well-being, now with her finally forgiving him, he needed his green tea to help him relax & get going. He felt relief in being able to ask her & see her respond back to him. Due to oversight by him as his wife had gone to bring his tea, her saree got burnt.
As Gopi cameback to the room, she was happy & shy that finally she was able to talk to her Ahemji after so many days. With this happiness in her heart she entered the room to serve him. As she looked around, she saw her saree being burnt by the iron when infact she had ensured the iron was in a vertical position. As she was talking to herself, she saw her husband come up to her & explain how it was his fault & apologise to her. For Gopi him being there for her is more important than any saree & it did not bother her !!!
As Ahem realised that how her saree was burnt because of him, he felt really bad. He apologised to her & hoped that she did not feel bad. Even after her calming him, he could not hold back himself & apologised to her once again with a thought to make upto her for his mistake !!!
As Rashi praised Gopi at the breakfast table, Ahem could not help but look at her , his wife who was shly smiling. He felt his heart filled with pride to have such a talented wife. Though Ahem knew the theplas were made by his Gopi, he still asked his mom & as he saw his wife serving him without any hesitation, he shared his feelings of how he knew they were made by her !!! Few days back when she was not talking to him, he had to serve himself the upma she made, but today as he saw her walking upto him, he felt very happy. Ahem recognises everything done by his wife & is proud of her. Today the feelings of pride & happiness because of his wife are bubbling within him that he could no longer hold back from sharing them with her. He no longer hesitates if the family is there or wait for the privacy of their room to share his feelings like what he had done during sankranti. He now has overcome his shyness to be with his wife & praise her as & when he feels so. He likes to see the happy shy smile on her face as he compliments her & he was rewarded by the same. This was the same family who has seen him being ruthless with her, asking her to leave the house not to be seen again & today the same family is being the witness of a husband falling in love with his wife & openly sharing it with her in front of them !!!
The last few days had thought Ahem a valuable lesson, though he has changed & started to care for her, he had always taken her granted, but those few days when she kept her distance & did not talk to him, he realised how lonely was his life without her & her love. Today he wanted to suprise her, please her & tell her how sorry he was not only for the saree but also for shouting on her. He postponed all his meetings to go shop for his wife. Though he was a lone husband in the shop & did not know much about the sarees or her tastes, he still made an attempt to buy a gift for her !!! Though he wanted to pick the green saree which he liked as it was his favourite colour & hoped she also would love it, he did not take it for granted & picked the other 2 sarees also so that along with his favourite colour saree, she will also have other ones. Though Gopi shared with him that blue was her favourite colour, Ahem did not remember him, he is just learning about being married & loving his wife & learning about one spouse is life long process. Ahem is just at the 1st step & he has a long way to go !!!
Ahem did not wait for the evening to gift her his love filled gifts, he cameback home to gift her immediately, see the suprise look on her face, her shy smile & listen to her sweet thank you !!! Love tugged Ahem's heart so much that time & distance have no importance. His wife Gopi is important & thats why he did not call her or wait for her to come into the room, he went to the kitchen to see her as he wanted to see her doing things at ease & be suprised by his presence & he wanted to capture those moments !!!
Gopi suddenly heard her Ahemji shout & was suprised. Along with other's she ran towards the kitchen from where the sound originated & saw him unconscious & surrounded by fire. Her heart crushed to see him & she could no longer hold herself back. She immediately ran to bring in a rug with a hope that she would reach him ontime & that nothing would happen to him, her love !!! Braving the fire she walked into the burning kitchen to see his back on fire. She immediately ensured she not only put the fire out on his back but also with her presence of mind switched off the gas regulator. As she spinked water & kept calling his name, she saw him come into consciousness.
As Ahem came into conscious he saw the kitchen on fire & his wife calling his name. He was suprised & worried on why did she come in such a dangerous situation & could not hold himself back & asked her why did you come !!! Her answer that she could not hold herself back when he was in danger, made Ahem realise once again how blessed he was to have her as his life partner. That moment everything else ceased for him to see her be there for him without even a small thought for herself !!! As much as Gopi cared for Ahem by not thinking about herself or her life, Ahem also cared the same for her. He did not agree to her request of only him being covered under the rug, he did not allow her to stay away from him even for a second, he held her to himself , protecting her at each & everystep by becoming her shield as they walked out of the fire !!!
As the saath pheres were taken around the holy fire in the shaadi ke mandap, Ahem & Gopi had promised each other their love for one another, always being together, forever, protecting & caring for each other in their wedding. Life had taken them thru so much that thou they were together, yet they were far from each other. But with life giving them an opportunity once again, they started to come close to each other, understand each other & fall in love. Today thou there was no mandap, there was the fire which was a witness of the love the wife had for her husband as she only worried about him & moved into protect him. The fire was a witness of a husband who loved his wife so much that instead of being worried about his situation, he was concerned on why she was there. The fire was a witness of a wife who wanted her husband to be safe, even if it meant she was hurt, she covered him completely in the rug so that he would be completely protected. The fire was a witness of a husband, who wanted to protect his wife, he pulled her under his protection, protecting her completely by becoming her shield as they walked out of the fire !!! The fire was a witness of a husband & wife protecting & caring for each other, hoping for a life together !!!
When his mom asked him if he was fine, Ahem knew it in his heart that come what may, his wife would always be there for him, before him, protecting him & nothing can ever reach him !!! The journey of their life together for Ahem & Gopi has just begun with both starting to fulfill the vows taken at the time of their marriage together & with each moment as much as Gopi is realising how blessed she is to have him as her life partner, Ahem is learning it by the blink of the eye that how blessed is he to have his Gopi with him eternity !!!
