I think Ahem not only want to gift the sari to Gopi for the reason that he had burnt her sari by mistake. He also want to show his Guilt, Proud and Love to her.
Guilt - He had hurt her on that night - I'm so sorry Gopi
Pride- Gopi won the competition and saved the pride of family, made his mom so happy and
himself. I'm so proud of you Gopi.
More- He want to surprise her, want to see her happy smile, twinkle in her eyes. He care for her more,don't want to make her sad anymore. He want to show her that he is so lucky to
have her in his life, she is everything to him. He is Happy if she is Happy.
