ME was for an hour.. so bear with me as write about one of the best executed Maha episodes in the history of SNS..
It was one of those episodes that was cute, thrilling, emotional with a lot of Aww moments in it..
Lets start with Rashi..
We all do know Gopi's connect with her Kanhaji, so there is no wonder that the episode started with Gopi talking to her Kanhaji, telling rather confidently that the trophy goes to him and as he along with her maaji made her win the competition.. Cute scene and Gopi looks wonderfully happy.
Then comes Rashi.. She was the perfect elder sister today. For the first time Rashi asked for Gopi about her victory without any feeling of malice. She handled the trophy like a proud elder sister, teasing Gopi and even telling Hetal that Gopi likes Baasunthi from childhood.
Our Hetal, as usual goes to make Baasunthi.. But this scene was beautiful. Gopi is now being pampered by all including Rashi.. š What a refreshing change and we saw Hetal, the old one who told Gopi on her B'Day that she considered her a daughter. I do not know if I can ever forget Hetal's color change in the previous track but today, this family looked a picture with all taking care of their favorite DILš³
The next scene is going to bemy favorite.. A first without GoHem or GoKi in it.. Rashi again.. Wah..
š Hats off to her. She gave as good as she got. She defended Gopi like a lioness defending her cub. I told ya.. She was the perfect elder sister.š
Nothing can be told about the skank. .The nerve of the witch to stand there making those statement and raising her voice at the DILs of the family. .That was disgusting..š¤¢
So I was hooting as Rashi gave back and told Anitha that she would talk anyway she wanted to her.
A probable fight was averted by Kokila who diffused the situation. Rashi goes off in a huff but that was cute too.. she was angry for herself and Gopi today. .The elder sisterš
So Koki gives Anitha another chance. .The skank just makes facesš¤¢ And later goes to her room to become a full blown psycho.. She tells herself that she will 'punish' Gopi for what she didš¤¢
Now I thought this was the full blown psycho thing when she surprises and frightens me at the dining table the next day.. Courtesy Rashi againš
Rashi continues her big sister role. She teases Gopi and pointedly refers to Ahem's praise for Gopi's thepla.. And that pushes the skank to the edge with Baa's statement that Gopi always remain innocent..
As usual the skank decides that it is the external appearance that needs to be destroyedš¤¢ Fool and an idiot..š”
Inbetween all this, Ahem is the puppy faced husband againš³ He comes to the room and asks for his dose of green tea.. Is careless with the switch board and burns Gopi's sari.. All for a good cause..
It was so cute when he apologized and asked her pointedly if she did not feel bad.. Her acceptance of his apology brought a smile, but his guilt remains.. He is thoughtful.. Just as we think what he will do, the man goes to the sari shop..
š I love this scene.. e sees woman all around and hesitates.. The shopkeeper makes it difficult by talking something that Ahem does not understand, the language of woman sareesš Poor guy somehow manages to see some sarees. The next dilemma is the color.
Oh.. how can a husband and wife be this alike. Gopi wanted to see er favorite color on Ahem and Ahem decides that Gopi would like green because it is his favorite. But like Gopi is undecided. But he is smart. He decides to buy all three sareesš³
Further embarrassment for Mr. Modi with the woman in the shop commenting and the shop keeper asking if this was his first purchase. How will he say that it was his wife who did all that till now and that he wants to surprise her for the first timeš³
So after grinning at Ahem's discomfort and purchase, we again get to see skank's devious mind at work. To make the long story short, Anitha cuts the gas pipe and makes sure that Gopi is caught in a fire..
Her mistakes though are getting caught by Koki and also raising Rashi's suspicions by being short with her once and then sweet the next moment. And her comment about Gopi needing to be in the kitchenš My Koki Sherlock, and Rashi her watson will get on this case next week for sureš
BTW, it was again another nice taunt by Rashi to Anitha when she asks her to taste the Chundaš
So our hero arrives home.. He has postponed his meetings to surprise his wifeš³ Aww he was so cute hiding the bags behind his back and calling Gopiš But unfortunately fate plays a different role. He slips on water, retrieves his gits but accidentally lights the lighter thus being the victim of the blast.
The scene after this was awesome.. Pretty nicely done too.. Ahem faints after falling due to the blast. There is fire everywhere. The entire set of ladies arrive. Hetal stops Koki from entering the kitchen while Rashi stops Gopi.. Gopi is the one whose brain works even under pressure.
She tries another door and failing that runs to get a blanket. Kokila is inconsolable and Hetal holds her back..
Skank just stands with her mouth agape watching the hue and cry with tears.. š¤¢ Exactly what else did she expect?š”
Our brave Gopi vahu ,the super woman comes to the rescue. Beautiful that her eyes never leave her Ahemji lying with fire around. There is no fear, no hesitancy as she goes near him and puts out the fire on his coat. Then she does the next sensible thing and removes the pipe from the cylinder..
I am sure Gopi is hurt. She holds her shoulder with her hand but that does not stop her. She has already tried to wake Ahem up and he gets up and looks around..
Wonderful expressions by Nazimš He is in pain but realizes the situation and is surprised to see Gopi. Immediately concerned he questions her as to why she came in.. Out Gopi tells him that she can never leave him alone in the fireš³
Aww.. So much love and Ahem's expression of pain is beautiful to see. This is not the first time Gopi saved him. She has saved him from the snake also before. Then his ego made him cruel as he mocked her and told her that he was better dead than be saved by her. But today, this Ahem is concerned for his wife. That expression seemed to say "Don't love me this much Gopi. I do not think I deserve you."š³
Now once the Hero wakes up, Gopi realizes where she is. She is frightened. Ahem almost has to order her to come to him inside the blanket.. Se does so slowly but then clings to her Ahemji while he plays the hero and both walk out into the arms of Kokila..
Koki is in tears. Her son and her DIL are both in danger and till the minute they walk out she cannot think straight. She hugs Ahem and he looks relieved. Her attention is on Gopi next. She thanks Gopi and the family take the love birds to their room for the doctor to visit..
Skank sees all this with tears and I could not understand her expressions. .I mean, what did she want? Did she feel bad that ahem was caught in her ploy or was she angry for Ahem bringing Gopi out? What was she feeling Don't know.. She just stood there and I ignored her.. Meethi was trying to put the fire out and I thought it was better to see Meethi than the skank..
So ended the ME.. Beautiful. Ahem and Gopi have given the toughest test by the fire, literally and have come out with flying colors. Gopi with her love and Ahem with his concern and care.. Both took care of one another in the dire situation. They were awesome..
I am excited for Monday.. Naturally our love birds will be in their own world after the doctor visitsš³ But Rashi does some groundwork and brings the inside scoop that the gas cylinder pipe has been tampered with..
Koki the detective is in the thinking mode. I am sure between Koki and Rashi, they will add one plus one and arrive at the right conclusion.. It is Baand Bajaa for Miss. Anitha Schroffš„³
