There is no doubt the amount of love, concern and care Ahem has for his wife, Gopi. He is not only silently supporting her but he realises his silence is needed just to have her with him.
At home and at the function hall he does not have the privacy to talk to her but his eyes follow her and his actions of wanting her to be next to him was evident. His face warmed up on seeing her finally coming down the stairs to the family waiting to leave. He recognised her respect and acknowledgement for Baa when she took Baa's blessings. For Ahem, just being with her swells his heart and makes him a proud husband. His gentlemanly actions still prevails by giving her a seat next to him just like how he opens the car door for her.
He is holding himself together knowing this is going to be difficult for her. He can feel her pain that she is enduring but cannot quite put his finger on the cause of it.
He looked on at Anita not knowing where to look at times as he felt the spotlight was on him in Anita's speech. He certainly was finding it difficult to digest her words as he felt it penetrating him.
Ahem's disconcerted appearance was easy to see. On one side it swelled with love for his wife but kept silent just to be near her. On the other side, Anita's jarring words was leaving a bad taste in his mouth.
The competition is in full flow and tomorrow it will move it further so still more to take place. There is lots to look forward to.
