It was a short Gohem scene.
Ahem looked on at Gopi lying in the bed and had flashbacks the nasty words he told Gopi in anger. He shook his head in regret. He could not understand why he vented his anger at her and bring her to this state.
He approached the bed and called her name but found her eyes closed. It was his intention was to apologise to her. Perhaps to also tell her that he was looking forward to having her meet his friends. Perhaps to also say that things with Anita being at home is making things worse for him. Perhaps to also tell her what was causing him to become so frustrated and explain himself further. It could be anything but for sure he could not let the day go by without wanting to tell her he was sorry.
He stood there thinking, resisted waking her up then prepared himself to sleep on his sofa. He gave a final look at Gopi but she still had her back on him.
Seldom does Gopi sleep before Ahem. Just like the days when Gopi would stand there staring at Ahem sleeping so too did Ahem stood there looking on at her in anticipation.
This regret sitting in Ahem is not only the words he told Gopi in anger but at the back of his mind it is the conversation he had with Anita. It is this that will wedge into his regret as his revelation dawns on him. This will deepen his regret further.
Whilst he has told Gopi that he cannot wait to carry on with life the way it was, he took the liberty to compare her to Anita. Further this revelation with Anita will get him to see how wrong he was in his words. He will learn that the more he engages with Anita the more his torment will grow. It is in this that he will realise that Gopi was not wrong for him after all instead it was Anita.
How long will he keep this up for?
