I have heard that women think with their hearts while men think with their mind. In a sense, it means a woman worries about emotions and pain while accessing a situation while a man wants the task to be done and does not see the reactions of all who surround him until that task is complete.. It may be useful at times but not always..😕
Ahem I think is behaving the same way. As a woman I am sad to think that he does not talk to Gopi or his mom about what he is trying to achieve or what exactly happened. I actually think he is digging himself deeper and deeper into the problem by taking the pretend-to-be-Nilesh route and keeping his thoughts to himself.
For one, his family wants to talk to Nilesh because they think that Nilesh is talking to Anitha. That in itself is going to be a problem now. There is no word of Nilesh or what he is thinking about Anitha. Ahem has not or we have not seen Ahem do anything but be reactive to this situation. And as Munni said, he is not getting the crux of the problem.
The problem is not to keep Anitha from panicking. The problem is she is still unmarried and currently to fix this problem we need Nilesh and his family. Instead of attacking the problem at its root, Ahem keeps reacting to the situation that Anitha is in. This will not help in the long run. By the time he realizes this though, I am afraid a lot of people will be disappointed in him and he will be in trouble for making this situation worse.
As for Gopi, the problem I think is that Ahem assumes that Gopi is fine. She is not crying. She is not questioning him. He assumes that she considers Anitha as a victim in this. His explanation about helping her because she is a victim and he is doing this only for humanity.. Now this my brother would say is explantion enough.. But you see as woman, we expect to be told a little bit more emotionally. Maybe sit down, hold hands, assure and explain.. That is what we expect. But being the male, I do not think the thought even entered Ahem's brain..
That is why we find Kokila and Anitha assuring Gopi while there is no trace of Ahem. Now this will again land him in trouble. You ask why? Why when Gopi said she trusted her Ahemji?
Well because Gopi's trust is on Ahem not doing anything out of line as her husband. But she does not know that he loves her and not Anitha. She will not be insecure about Ahem betraying her, but she will not believe he loves her, Gopi..
Now to further this mess, Koki thinks that Gopi knows about Ahem and Anitha.. Logically her mind will tell her that maybe Ahem talked with Gopi and hence the trust she sees in Gopi's eyes. Unfortunately this is not the case. Ahem, I think still does not realize that Gopi knows about his past connection. He is so immersed in the present problem that he has ignored the past..
His explanation that his mom might miscontrue his intentions about helping Anitha is just the excuse for "I lied and my mom will be angry for lying and will be disappointed." Which is what it is..
Kokila will not take this lie lightly. She will further think that Ahem is playing with Gopi's emotions which he is not but for a person who does not know that Gopi is in the loop for this pretense, that is what it looks like.. So when the time comes and it is revealed that Ahem lied and pretended to be Nilesh he will pay for all of these.
1. Not talking to Gopi about his love for her
2. Not telling Koki and the family about the lie
3. Reacting and not taking a plan of action to get Anitha properly settled.
By the time he realizes his mistake he will need Gopi to support him for 2 & 3. I am thinking Gopi will be his rescuer.. Or I wish and hope that she is, not because that will prove her greatness but because she holds the key to the above said things. What Ahem has hid from Gopi and what he thinks Gopi does not know, Gopi is privy to both.. the only thing left is his love.. When 2 and 3 are fixed, 1 has to be.. That is Ahem's only saving grace.. His love for his wife.
A confusing rant.. But I hope it makes some sense.. When Ahem starts to think with his heart, mind and reflexes combined, it is then that he will start correcting the mistakes he has already made.. Till then I think we will see this drama continue with his pretense that most probably will blow up right in his face next week.
