There is no doubt as to where Ahem stands in all of this.

He has displayed this in two remarkable scenes.

In the scene where Gopi fell asleep as night progressed. Ahem saw his wife nodding off. He looked around the corridor and settled down in the seat next to her. When her head fell on his shoulder, she woke up. He gently told her to sleep and that he was sitting there. While she rested her head on the wall behind and dozed off again, he prepared his shoulders as a pillow ready to take her head as it fell again, by folding his arms to make it more comfortable for her to sleep on. Both his body and his face relaxed upon seeing her sleeping. He certainly was there to comfort her through the night.

It is in the next scene that literally brought Ahem to trial in front of Gopi, led by her in her questioning look and question. This is the very first time where Ahem had to reason to her of his decisions as to why he had to make this call to Anita and pretend to be Nilesh. Never have we seen him before in this position where he needed to explain anything to her. From the start of their marriage he was always on the delivery end while she on the receiving side. This time their roles have reversed. This is a start of more to come in the future.

Ahem's underlying belief is that this is a small phase that will pass them and is prepared to do anything possible to see it through. There is also another underlying belief in Ahem in that his wife will undertand his actions and stand by him to see this through. Yes, he is clearly and sincerely all for his wife. Yes, he has shared with her his reasons for wanting to help Anita. However, this has the potential to be misunderstood by Gopi.

This is where in such a relationship that was initially rocky and has only recently become better through nuturing it over time, has the potential to crack.

Another fantastic analysis Swasthi.

Ahem, although still tensed and guilt ridden, did not fail to be there for his wife when needed, without hesitation. Even as he feels as though his life is spinning out of control he did not forget his place as a husband.

One thing to note about Ahem is that after Anita was brought to the hospital he has made sure to stand away from her. He did not rush to hold her hand or to be close to her, this says a lot about where his feelings lie and who his heart belong to now.

Yes Gopi understand his reasons for lying, but her questioning look is about whether he himself believes the reason he is giving to lie. To her way of thinking her Ahemji still has deep feelings for Anita and trying to justify his own feelings. Gopi does not know yet that Ahem has only regrets for past and does not love Anita, but loves her for two reasons, first he has never indicated to her that his feelings towards her has changed, and two she may have believed him if he hadn't forgotten the Holi incident.

There is no doubt that Gopi will stand beside him, but she will think he is helping Anita because he still has feelings for her and she is out of his reach now.

There is a potential for some major misunderstanding because of the fact that he has not confessed his feelings to his wife and because he has forgotten the Holi incident.

Gopi and Ahem together will bring Nilesh and Anita back to together, but will Ahem ever clear Gopi's doubts about his feeling for her is the big question.

I hope at the end of this track Ahem confesses his feelings for his wife.

Swasthi.. First of all great analysis👏

I totally concur that Ahem showed where he stood today.. He does not want this phase to affect anything else. He wants this to pass so that he can go back to living his life.. His support atleast a physical support for his wife at the hospital gave him happiness. It also gave him some relief that he is able to do something for her when she is doing so much for him...

But I do really think that this is leading to strengthening of their relationship and not the opposite. Ahem did not ask Gopi to just trust him when she questioned him. He told her exactly why he lied. Her disbelief that he could lie got to him. He himself does not want to. But he has to and he explained. I am not sure if Gopi agress he did good by lying but she will surely stand by him..

His words that they will have to be in it together and inform no one else, not even his mom told the level of confidence he has in her. He understands her fears. But the problem this time is that he fears the same.. Will the two be able to set Anitha's life back on track?

I am not sure. But in this journey, they will support each other, that is final.😛

Great post swasthi and lovely analysis. Loved the head on his shoulder. I just wish that he had stroked her face or touched her cheek when she fell asleep.

Swasthi...another fabulous post! ⭐️ 👏Ur title is very apt for this track...it is going to be a passing phase in their life...the question is how are they going to get through this?

Ahem has shown that physical comfort with Gopi by allowing her to rest on his shoulders...also saying that I'm also here to take all your burdens away from you.

His straightforward nature came out today when he cleared the lie he told to Anita that he was Nilesh to Gopi...he didn't hide it from her...he explained it to her...and I guess as u said Swasthi, this is the first time Gopi had questioning eyes for him...like her Ahemji can do this? It was also a test for him also as he has never had to justify anything to her...she always accepted everything he said like it was God's words spoken.

The trust that he has for her by keeping this matter between them is an indication that Gopi's importance in his life has risen to much more than his mother's...in the sense that he has made her his other half.❤️

Also, for Gopi, she would not welcome giving anyone false hopes, thats why she questioned Ahem..

He in turn replied in a foolish manner in my POV, he was talking to Gopi about doing something humanitarian effort, or whatever, so Anita does not feel bad... How long has Ahem known Gopi, does he really need to tell her those things or rant about it long, he could have simply said taht it was just to mek her feel better, coz thats what the doctor also recomended, and to make her calm./.

It was like Ahem was too preoccupioed in his mind that he forgot he was talking to Gopi and the kind of person that she is, He is too preoccupied with Anita atm to think straight.. i understand thatn, but I hope he comes out of his pathetic trance soon PERMANENTLY
