Why to show Ahemji like that?

I didn't like the way they showed Ahemji and Anita in a compromising position in the pre-cap. Is this the only way the CV's could come up with to break up the marriage? They have protrayed him as a dignified, stately and proud man so far. To show him in an embarrassing situation of being in bed with his ex takes away from the grandness and uprightness of his character.
I am not trying to malign his character and some may say this was the only way, they could force Ahemji to accept Anita into his home, but I wish the CV's had found another way to make him responsible for the breakage of marriage where Modis had no choice but to bring her to MM. After all, the CV's are the ones with creative juices; instead of creating such cheap drama, I am sure they could come up with some other more dignified way that suits Ahemji's honorable character. These are just some cheap tricks they are indulging in.

They could've just brought up the fact that Ahem and Anita were dating before. Is that enough to break a marriage? It would if someone (cough* cough* Rashi) found Anita's diary with her and Ahem's picture and let that picture fly away with the wind---from Gopi's lap to near Ahem's foot...someone bends over to pick it up but then gets called by someone else...someone steps on that upside down picture...it catches the wind again...it flies...it's flying...it hits smack middle on Nilesh's face and bam! Aag lagging...dhua utthing...

Yes, that would have been much better. That would have created enough drama. To make a spectacle out of a bride about to get married in such a manner is insulting. Just imagine the indignity she has to suffer where all the guests including the groom are gaping at her being in bed with someone else. Why these serials always play with women?

I think it happened like this in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. And also in Koi Mere Dil Se Pooche---Esha and Sanjay Kapoor's picture practically runs a marathon around the college campus and doesn't even reach any important person's hand. 😆

Also, how realistic is it that he fell on the bed and that too like that? It's not. I remember the countless times I've fallen and never have I landed so perfectly and intact. It wouldn't help Ahem's case I guess, but geez, why show this falling and getting up all the time? Is there no other way to show conflict? Even romance is shown like that---is this how it's defined? You fall. Your bloody dupatta gets stuck somewhere. You trip and someone catches you. You cut yourself accidentally and someone bandages you. Mujhe koi nahi bandage wandage karta--all fairytailish things.

Agree, it makes us dream. 😭 Romance in real life is so different. This past holi, my dad made gulgulas early in the morning for my mom. I guess that's real romance. 😆
