Ahemji ne Gopi ke saath 2 saal bitaaye hain, na ki SAAT DIN(movie of Anil Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure).
In these two years, Ahem has come to know the inside out of Gopi. But in those few months(I am sure those were just few months which Ahem had spent with Anita, given his non-committal attitude to save his love which was not even love).
He has seen the toughest days of his life with Gopi, the darkest times. Now he has traversed with herto come to enjoy and bask in the golden period. Sow where does the doubt lay? Nowhere I am sure!
Coming back of Anita would just amplify his love with Gopi. His body just reverberates in her love now. His eyes want to see her, his ears want to hear her, his hands want to hold hers and his legs want to walk with hers. Sow where is the question of uncertainty? Nowhere!
He looks up to her for tea, clothes, his office things, his room, in morning, noon and night! he looks up to her for everything and in every place. So what is keeping us at tenterhook? Nothing again!
When Anita was there is his life, he never protected her from his mom. But he does this for Gopi. He never missed Anita apart from when he needed a certain kind of life pr moments for him like on his b'day. He never looked up to Anita for anything. He didn't have any dreams, any expectations from her. Whatever was it, it was just to have a certain kind of lifestyle which any young man would like to have and he thought that Anita would be perfect for him But now when he has seen that perfection does not mean just good looks and good education. He has learnt from Gopi that perfection is perfection of heart and deeds. perfection of having a never to say die attitude and to be able to forgive and forget. Perfection is not bodily, it is spiritual. And his Gopi has got it without a single doubt.
He has lived with Gopi and slowly attained a certain perfection of his own. He has got a certain kind of possessiveness for her now which coming of Anita would make it show to everyone.
Now when Anita would come, where would she fit in? She is like a shoe(no offence meant) which has remain unused for quite sometime and has shrunk and become useless for the person. Or the clothing which has become out of fashion. Now Ahem's fashion and style is different. He is a husband and his thought process and way of life is much much different from Anita's.
So coming back of Anita, would make Ahem only admit to himself that how much his life depends on Gopi for every single thing. How much he will regret his past and how much he will repent for what he did to Gopi in the early days of marriage with Anita. When Gopi would again feel lost seeing Anita, she would kind of distance herself and then Ahem's heart would die a million deaths as his heart breathes and lives only for Anita.
What an irony! He despised his wife for a girl he thought he loved and now when the girl is in front of him, he will despise her for the woman he loves now but has not yet admitted. he had confessed his love to Anita but did not love her and he loves Gopi but has not yet confessed it.
He won't compare anything for there is no comparison between Gopi and Anita. For there is a stark difference between a diamond and a crystal. The diamond sparkles on its own so Gopi's qualities will outshine Anita's on their own and Ahem could not help but ponder what a gem of a wife his mother got for him and when one gets a diamond one definitely feels insecure to not lose it. So I feel it would be Ahem who would feel insecure if at all and not Gopi. đ
So with Anita back, would Ahem remember those words which he said to Gopi? "Tum kabhi bhi mera pyar nahin paa sakogi!" đ Will he remember how he had turned his back to Gopi on first night?đAnita is just a mere medium to bring out Ahem's sunk past on the surface. He has to love Gopi with all his heart, his past, present and future have to be with her. So unless he let go the ghosts of past and his ill-treatment for he which are the only reasons to not let him confess to Gopi, he won't be able to do justice to the selfless love they have been now sharing. They are made for each other and this will prove it further.
Sorry for the long post, I had been waiting for the D-day and finally it arrived and now I am sure we would get to see Ahem in a turmoil which will stamp his love for Gopi.
