Ok you are slowly revealing the story to us, he knew Gopi when he was just 10 years old, however something happened, possibly he didn't discover what he was feeling for her was attraction that could lead to love, because maybe she moved away, and then he married Anitha, Gopi came back and they bumped into each other (Jab we met) and they started to see each other and he saw they were a better match then Anitha that is why his marriage ended to Anitha after just 1 year, so why didn't Aham do something to make he and Gopi's relation more permanent before she got into the coma, possibly Gopi was refusing and got into an accident before she agreed to marry him, possibly out of guilt for Anitha and Aham's break up, well that's what I'm imagining.

Or Gopi is Anitha's half sister...something real SNS type he marries the other sister when he was supposed to marry her. 😆
