As for the way forward.. I really hope that Ahem realizes that Gopi was right when she told him to confide in Koki and not take his anger out on her. And hopefully he will get his solace from her words and turn to her to get his relationship back on track with his mom.

I know not very romantic but if this happens, then we will finally have the knowledge that Ahem is totally gone where Gopi is concerned. If he can accept the fact that she is his way to bridge the gap with his mother then it will tell us how secure he feels with her. This relation of his with his mom is his strength as well as weakness. So to accept that he has somehow made a mistake where his mother is concerned will make him vulnerable. It will also hopefully be a prelude to the day when he tells Gopi the same thing.. That he made a mistake in his relation with her, Gopi before and he now realizes the error of his ways and wants to correct it.
