Suk, although I do agree this confrontation is long due, I do not agree with you views on Kokila. I think she has every right ot be irritated with Ahem. And hopefully this will be the rude awakening we have all been waiting for.. Ahem needs to realize that sometimes it is important to think things through before doing something. He hated Gopi, he hurt her without thinking about the trauma he was causing.. He admires her(picking it up from the article), then he follows her naively without thinking what he is making Jigar go through. It is not done.
Plus the article does not mention that Koki is angry with Gopi. She is just angry because Ahem

Well the first one was long due and when Kokila knows that he cancelled Jigar's trip in the last minute then she is definitely going to be angry. You do not become successful in business by cancelling meetings in the last minute with important clients and for what purpose?
Gopi is naive and follows Rashi blindly. But Ahem is a worldly man right? The man who considered his wife unworthy for ordering a 5 lakh necklace now wants his brother to forget Rashi's betrayal? Ahem needs to realize that he has give Jigar his space and time and if Jigar is not able to make it clear, I am glad that Koki is..
Koki did start out aas a MIL who wanted a doormat of a DIL but she changed. She changed for Gopi. Plus Koki is fair,. She will not blame Gopi. Angered by their proximity, as mentioned in the article is I hope just angered by Ahem blindly following Gopi without thinking through..

After all at least one person in the relationship needs to be a logical thinker.

The Koki and Ahem story is just going to kill it for me as more concentration will be put on that then making Gopi and Ahem turn into a proper couple. No matter how much Ahem supports Gopi hes just not making the move to turn the friendship into more and it quite evident its a long way to go since he has no intention of admitting he loves gopi if he even does feel that way at all. I feel it will be another year or 6 month before or if we get there at all. If the story doesn't move then trps will drop further. Trps have drop due to expectations of Ahem and Gopi coming together and it not happening. They didn't have to spice it up all they had to do was bring Gopi and Ahem together. I'm guessing they have no really storyline after consumation hence they are over stretching it.

agree with u completely...very well said. I just dont think Koki is that negative

I agree about Kokila...she may be fair and all but she is a total control freak with a hypertension disorder. Slight mistake from her vahus and family can make her go off the tangent...

Kokila is a dominating and autocratic person in general, and has a misplaced sense of importance as far as Ahem is concerned.

she wanted a naive bahu only so that she can train, mould or change the new naive bahu to be like her and to be able to take care of the modi household just as she does... we all know how competitive spirited she is... being the younger DIL she still rules the house... she wanted and trained Ahemji to be the best in business,.. she also wanted a DIL whom she could train under her guidance to take care of the modi household ...

we all know, and koki knows it as well, people like Anita and Rashi would never listen to koki ... they would never care for the house ...and whoever would be Hetal's bahu may be taking koki's place in the house which she never wanted,,...

In the early days she treated gopi pathetically... frightened and terrified the girl... but that is her way of teaching unlike Hetal who could not teach anything to her DIL... all she did was Javadena and carried on with Rashi's work as well,,,...but as time progressed...when she came to know about Gopi's character...she is more loving and caring and she is proud of Gopi...

Coming to being angry on Ahem is not for him being close to Gopi... but Gohem helping RaJi and Ahemji ignoring his work to help them...

I have one more angle to see this:

koki felt a sense of pride that gopi listens to whatever she says and never does anything with out telling to koki... in a way she has her control over gopi ... kinjal and ahem once in a while argue and disagree with kooki..but gopi never does that... so she feels proud of gopi

- now in the present situation koki is obviously worried about ahem neglecting his work and concentrating more on his wife...
- but the main reason for her attitude is gopi has recently started looking forward to ahem instead of koki

she is insecure about gopi bahu not looking upto her but she is looking upto ahem for comfort...
gopi bahu is not listening when koki tries to say something but she is listening to ahem...
so the insecurity is not that ahem is concentrating more on gopi ... but the insecurity i think is gopi is looking upto ahem more than her

it's not about loosing her son to dil... but her dil to her son...
