Bhavya, I think Ahem took the blame on him too mainly to save Gopi because he knows that either Rashi will deny it or Gopi being the sacrificing person will say that she brought it for saving Rashi. So to save Gopi from Koki's wrath he took the blame on four of them equally.

You are right Precious, Ahem is still not sold on Rashi just Koki is not, but for Gopi's sake he is making the effort, and this is the only reason he held all four of them responsible. The guilt at not telling his mom the truth at the dinning table was visible.

As for Koki, she is justified in her anger because they lied to her and she does not like this at all, she has always maintained this. After Gopi explained the situation she was quick to say keep the bird near the mandir. As for keeping it confined, I would agree, because pets do make a mess and you can't let them roam around freely in a huge house.

I agree I will always like her (okay maybe not always) she is a no nonsense charakter and is known to scold people for lying or hiding the truth!!
