Even before the saree folding scene, we saw Ahem irritated because Gopi was staying back home with Rashi. He so wanted her to wear the sari he gifted. That scene never fails to bring a smile on my face. And the highlight is that Gopi looks really confused by his mood...

Also the day they find Jigar in the temple after the Sonal thing, Ahem's anger that day was due to his relief in seeing Jigar safe. Beautifully portrayed keeping in mind Ahem's character.

And Yes. I think Ahem is more comfortable showing his feelings via anger. He shows his anger when he is concerned for the other person. But unlike Gopi, we can read between the lines to see that he is actually concerned.

I actually like it better when he's using his fake anger. My absolute favorite is the one someone has already mentioned--the designer lehnga. Poor Gopi, didn't realize that the absolute next day he gifted her a saree. Didn't she ask herself why?

And one more that I forgot.. The hospital scene.. I loved it.. His anger, then trying to coax her asking her if she would not listen to him,.. One of my favorite dialogues of Ahem's.. And the last one about his green tea, black tea.. That scene was a topper 😃 I liked Nazim's expression after telling her all that. He looked like he was ready to cry.. That scene is one of my favorites..

Gopi:- Ji abhi deti hoon.

She picks it up from the very front of the cupboard. Ahem is miffed that the handkerchief was in plain sight. Damn it!

Ahem:- Tum meri saari cheezein wahan kyun nahi rakh deti, jahan mujhe aasani se mil jayein?

He shakes his head and is about to walk away when Gopi removes the gift he gave her. Ahem at first blushes but brushes it aside and again scolds her...

Ahem:- Ab yeh sari kyun nikal rahi ho?

Gopi:- woh... sari...

Ahem:- Nahi, Nahi...karo karo ...achche se apna time waste karo. Padhai ke waqt bhi tum aise hi karti ho...saare zaroori kaam tumhein ussi waqt yaad aate hain.

Seeing Gopi's crestfallen face..he realizes that he is blabbering for no reason...He changes his tone..

Ahem:- woh, mujhe lagta hai main aaj dandiya nahi jaa paoonga...(What am I going to do there without you anyway...who will I stare at?) Meri tabiyat theek nahi hai.

Gopi:- Ji, main aap ke liye kadha bana ke laoon?

Ahem:- (Mentally rolling his eyes) Ji nahi uski koi zaroorat nahi hai...Main theek hoon.

Gopi:- toh? Maaji! Maaji ko bula ke laaon?

Ahem:- Tum chup raho. Main theek hoon. Aur waise bhi tum choti si baat ka batangad kyun bana deti ho?

Gopi:- Aap? Aap akele ghar pe kaise rahenge? Main bhi ruk jaati hoon...

The expression on her face at that last sentence is gorgeous...I love that expression. According to me one of Nazim's best.

Thanks for the post...It reminded me of this scene...I actually remember it word by word thanks to the number of times I have seen it.
