Kokila always knew that anita would take away ahem from her. So she chose gopi who would always remain under her thumb and never complain to her.

She forced him into marriage with gopi against his wishes and then didn't even care to make sure that his son knew the truth about his wife. That created the base for ahem to have hatred for gopi at first place which grew more day by day😲

Guys,you all are thinking very far.If ahem married anita then i don't think kokila would have let her inside MM 😡Kokila herself might have suggested ahem to get lost from MM. Finally ahem might unable to think and learn about the relationships and cultures.

@just like that , I always sed anita was a novelty to ahem so far removed from wot he is accustomed to seeing woman ,he was never inlove wud her just intrigued and physically attracted. If he loved her he wud have fought for her ,he doesn't seem to have a problem clashing wud his mom for gopi. If ahem did marry anita he wud be on his second marriage by now , I don't think they would have lasted 3 months and the poor man wud be completely bald.I agree koki has never seen or experienced the power of love between husband and wife ,therefore she can't understand wots going on between gohem soon she is gonna see ahem like never before when he takes her on in a battle abt her interfering, it may cos an estrangement between mom and son but I don't believe that will last for too long as gopi will never allow it ,she will reunite them.

That's why I always say kokila is not perfect but she thinks she is. If you remember ahem was very soft towards gopi before marriage but when he came to know about her being illiterate, he withdrew his efforts to make his marriage work out. If kokila had told him the truth earlier then he would have been guilty for not making his wife happy but due to koki ignoring ahem's desires he looked a bit justified cuz he felt cheated

Ya, nobody is perfect... actually there is no such thing as a perfect person. We are a mixture of both good and bad and that makes us HUMAN. MIL DIl & SOn relationship forms quite a triangle...This relationship requires a lot of negotiation & compromise from all sides. One should not rebel on small issues...
Let's face it, nobody is 100% right all the time. This means that not only are we allowed to say "NO", we are required to say "NO" at times.

Anita & Ahem would have been a disaster together. So Kokila was right in picking Gopi for as her DIL. She knew that her son would not have married a illiterate gawar so she tricked him. Kokila knew that her successful businessman son whom she raised differently...has lack of humanity & has become selfish... so she took the responsibility on herself to find the most compatible life partner for him.The moment Kokila saw innocent Gopi she knew she had found the perfect match for her successful son. She knew Gopi will take a subservient role in their marriage. But the simple, uneducated, innocent & submissive complaisant girl Gopi did not appeal to Ahem at all. She became absolutely obsequious in Ahem's presence which made him all the more angry...her blind obedience & obliging nature landed Gopi in lot of troubles.

By getting Ahem married to Gopi... Kokila has actually opened a account in Swiss Bank for Ahem... . Something he can always bank on (Ahem is just realizing that😃)...just my 5cents
