From last few days ahem was feeling restless at office. "What is this Mr. Solanki. I asked you to bring mehta's file in the morning and its still not here.""Sir its right there" solanki pointed to the file. "Its there even before you arrived" solanki said. Ahem was embarrassed and he knew he is not in his senses but he has never accepted his defeat. "don't you need to tell me that the file is ready. You will be fired next time if you do this mistake again. Now go and do your work". Now he tried to study the file but his mind was diverting to her every second. "Now she is controlling my mind also. What has happened to me. Why did I hurt her when I didn't want to do it" he thought. He never had this kind of feeling before. "This feeling is making me go mad". His mother had always taught him to put work ahead of all matters and he had always followed this advice blindly till now. Then what happened in last few days. He couldn't concentrate on his work at all. Somehow the feeling of uneasiness used to go as soon as he came home and saw her face.
These days he used to go to his room directly to see her if she was well. He did the same today and ignored his mom on his way who asked him the same old question again "ahem why did you come home this early?" He was feeling awkward everytime she asked him that question. "Can't I have my own life and can I not do what I want without telling her every bit of detail", he thought. Till now he used to tell her everything from morning to night but now he felt she should not or need not know everything about him from now on. He ignored her completely like he didn't hear anything and headed to his room. Kokila was not impressed at this rude behaviour. He ran upstairs, opened the door and entered with a surprised look on the face. Where is she gone? In spite of my strict warnings she still doesn't take it seriously and always keeps on working. He felt quite angry at her. How can she disobey him so easily. She came in the room after half an hour with a worried look. She knew he would be angry for not obeying his decisions.
She could tell by the look on his face that the volcano was about to erupt any moment. She didn't want to annoy him more. "ahemji do you need something". "I need green tea and I need it quickly". "Ji I will tell mithi ben to make and give it to you". "mithi? then what are you doing?" He asked annoyingly. "Ji ma ji has given me some work to do""Then I don't want anything" ahem's anger was rising now. "Ji but...""I said I don't need anything". "just give me my blue kurta" ahem demanded. She was about to open the cupboard when she heard "gopi vau come here". As soon as she heard maji calling, she went out of the room leaving ahem more annoyed than ever. "What? How dare she ignore me like this? Not even gave me the kurta. She has grown too much irresponsible towards me". He tried to calm himself. "one, two, three..." "No its not her fault at all, its all my fault and I have to make everything right and do something to win her love again. No more angry gestures now. They seem to have no effect on you. Something different is needed now. He thought. Get ready gopi ji, you cannot resist me long enough. He thought with an evil smile on his face.
He changed his clothes and started finishing his work. He had more focus on work here than his office because he had no worries for her. Occasionally he tried to sneak at her from upstairs and feel relaxed on seeing her.
Soon mithi came to the room and called him for the dinner. Everyone finished the dinner but ahem was continuously staring gopi who was struggling to get away with it. "Ahem why are you not eating" koki asked and gopi felt relieved. "Wo mom I don't feel like eating anything". He left the table giving an angry look to gopi. She looked away to get rid of him while koki was analysing the two in disbelief. Soon everyone left the table. Men went to their rooms and women went to finish their kitchen works.
It was about the sleeping time and everyone had gone into their room. Gopi also headed into the room after finishing the kitchen work. She was praying that ahemji had already slept otherwise she wouldn't be able to take his stares. She was trying her best to keep distance from him and here ahem had already started his special planning to get her attention. He was working on his laptop when she entered the room. "Ji why didn't you eat anything" gopi asked in concerned voice. "You know the reason better gopi so why bother asking" ahem said. She looked a bit uncomfortable at the response. She wanted to say something but couldn't gather enough courage to say anything. As usual she went into the washroom to change into her night clothes. She came back in the room and headed to move onto the bed. She sat on the bed and asked "ahemji how long it will take you to finish your work". "its not your concern, you can sleep". "ahemji but how can I sleep when you are here on the bed. I mean you will get disturbed. If you say I will sleep on the couch" she said. "The couch is wet can't you see?" Ahem again tried to say angrily. "But how it got wet? It was alright before" "wo actually I was drinking water and accidently the water jug slipped from my hand and fell on the couch and it got all wet". "Oh no ahemji. Then how will we sleep. Alright I will sleep on the floor ahemji and you sleep on the bed". "No" ahem shouted sending a shiver through her body. "You will get cold. We have enough space on the bed for both of us, you can sleep on the other side". "Ji wo...". Ahem used his master stroke and he knew it won't fail "Okay if you want I will sleep on the floor but you will sleep on bed only". Gopi was confused but she didn't want to make him angry. "Alright ahemji as you wish. You won't be disturbed na". "No I won't be but if you keep talking then I will be disturbed". Gopi laid besides him and tried to sleep. She was pretty tired with all the work so she quickly fell asleep. "wow that was so easy. Everything is fair in love and war. Sorry gopi but I had to ruin that couch" ahem thought and smirked. Next plan tomorrow morning gopiji. He thought with an evil smile. Soon he also laid down and kept looking at her face which was shining in the moonlight. "I am sorry but I didn't want to hurt you." He was lost in her beauty which lightened his mood a bit "oh gopi its a crime to be that beautiful and then run away with someone's heart." He arranged her hair that came on her face and smiled at her. Suddenly he saw a cute smile on her face. "What? Is she dreaming? May be she is dreaming about me". He said with a big smile on his face. "Let me see who you are dreaming about". "Gopi" he said ever so slightly near her ear. "Ji ahe..." she couldn't complete but that was enough for him to give an indication that he ruled her dreams. "Soon you will be happy in reality also gopi". He kept looking at her with his mouth giving largest smile possible. He didn't knew when he also fell asleep next to her. Next morning ahem woke up and realised that he was laying alone only on the bed. He got up quickly and said worriedly "Oh god looks like I am too late".
