Finally this meeting is over...All because of Mr. Solanki I had to leave Gopi & come for this meeting. Ya the contract has been signed but How is she? Did she take her medicines? Did she rest? Mom never listened to me & insisted that I go for the meeting. She was not ready to listen to anything I had to say. She insisted that we should always be there for our work & never neglect it. She promised me that she will take care of Gopi. It has been 5 hrs that I have seen Gopi, I need to see her myself & because of this traffic I have taken another 30 mins to reach home. Now I can take care of her myself.
What is happening , why is Gopi downstairs & how did she reach down. I told her clearly she should not do any such things & she did not listen to me? Where is Mom & is this how she is taking care of Gopi?
Ahem beta andar aao, we have been waiting for you to start the Pooja. Kya Kaki, what pooja. Ahem Dikhra he turned around to see his mom calling him. Remember we told you in the morning that we are having a thanksgiving pooja for return of Gopi bahu & her for her health. Now go & change & come down fast. We will begin the pooja.
As he walked towards Gopi, everyone seemed to be busy in preparing for the pooja. If he had not comedown in 5 mins after quickly changing he would not have seen how Gopi has been trying to pick the glass of water which was on the far off table. He rushed towards her & gave her the glass to drink water. He also saw his mom running towards Gopi but he reached earlier than that. Both of them were looking at each other when Pandit called them for the pooja. As he was helping Gopi to the mandir his mind was wondering how can she sit for the pooja, when he saw a sofa put in the mandir. Ahem make Gopi sit on the sofa he heard his mom tell him quietly. He looked around at his mom & smiled at her. She also smiled back at him.
As the pooja was about to begin, he saw she struggling to put her pallu on her head with her left hand. He could not stop himself & bent down to adjust her pallu on her head. As he was stepping back he heard the pandit asking beta tumhara pati kaha hain? As he was stepping forward he saw Gopi looking at him. Beta this pooja is for your wife returning home safely & as her husband you should also be thankful & do the pooja with her.
As he was sitting beside Gopi, he could feel her eyes on him with a confused look, a look which questioned him. Beta & beti this relationship of marriage is very scared relationship which both of you hold. With this relationship begins the new life of being together as one. Today as you have been blessed to live together with each other even after the life threatning accident, looking at you both today, I will not only do a special pooja of thanksgiving but also about talk about the promises a couple makes to each other. The saat vachan of living together as you have begun your new life after the accident.
The saat vachan -- the words seemed to bring the past ,one specific incident which he wanted to forget. The memory of his wedding day with Gopi who had dreams in her eyes as they were doing the phere & as he filled in her maang. It also bought back the memories of the bad day when she took back the vachan because of him with her face covered from him. It was those starting days of his marriage when he was coming in terms of being married to an unpad Gawar his mom choose for him & when things were never going correct , she stood up in front of his family to take back the marriage vows. Now sitting next to him he saw her head was bent & tears were falling from her eyes...
Beta as I say each vachan put the things into the fire & beti hold your husbands hand as he does that. Seeing that she did not lift her head up nor did she strech forward her hand, he knew she will not do it. Gopi he called her silently, she looked up at him with a face full of sadness & questions. So much sadness because of me ...All of a sudden he heard her saying Pandit Ji thank you for suggesting the pooja about the vachan but today can we just do the thanksgiving pooja. I do not think I can sit in for long. Even after all she will just think of me..But beti this is important but you can decide if you want to do this. Yes Pandit ji we will do this. He knew he had shocked her & his family. Tik hai beta we will start the pooja.
Looking at her he knew that she will still looking at him & observing him. looking into her eyes he streched his righthand to hold the pooja things & slowly placed her left hand on his right hand. As the pooja was being performed, the urge to comfort her has been very high to let her know that he was there for her, that he was hers forver. Slowly as he placed his other hand on her hand to support not only her but also himself. There have been questions which have been troubling him. Will she forgive him, will she trust him, will she be there for him above all will she accept his love for her or is it 2 late? As if sensing his trouble she looked at him with her beautiful eyes with hope & smile, he knew at that moment she had given him another opportunity to be part of her life. As he smiled back at her, her face was gleaming with joy.
He knew that there is lot to be made up to her to make her feel comfortable in their relationship, to make her trust him & let her know what I has done in the past was wrong before I can tell her about my love for her. With her health condition, I will let time decide on how we take our journey forward. Looking around he saw his mom & kaki with tears in their eyes.
