Ahem had a very tough night. From what seemed to be an easy task of taking Gopi to her mami's home to see Rashi, it turned out to Gopi accepting to give the ransom money with Ahem giving his permission and get her sister back with Ahem following her as her shadow. While the rescue mission was achieved Gopi got hurt badly and her life was hanging on a thread.
Ahem endured blaming himself to reflecting on bitter sweet memories to patiently waiting for a miracle. In these moments he had looked himself in the face and saw a helpless, dark and empty Ahem Parag Modi that he did not want to be.
With no shred of hope and his feelings and emotions running high, he insisted on going to talk to Gopi after pleading to the doctor.
Ahem's monologue was very dramatic and packed in with so many double messages. His key points were: she did not ask for his permission, did she not care for him, won't she listen to him and that he will get strict with her if she didn't stop this drama.
With him talking about her asking for permission, does this imply that he wants to have a right to take responsibility of her? His mum has put him in this position more so of late.
She had learnt to take care of him from Koki. 'Every little thing you do for him,' as Koki said to Gopi from time to time after nani left, 'will matter.' He has confirmed this.
When he was teaching her he enjoyed her attention she had given as she listened and have always listened to him. He confirmed this too.
He always thought that in their earlier days of marriage she was dramatising her actions and talk. He never believed that she was really like the way she had shown herself to be. Would this confirm his hard attitude towards her then as him being strict with her?
An interesting thing to note was that he withdrew when the family came into the room to see her conscious and kept his distance, telling her to take rest.
He was inwardly glad that she had regained consciousness but did not want to show her that he had closed the gap even more and that his heart had melted more.
