Hi, I recently started watching this show and have watched a few back episodes but have some questions: (not too familiar with the country or their traditions, so pls forgive me if the questions appear naive)
1 - why does Gopi cover her hair with her sari whenever he husband shows up? Does he find her hair offensive?
2- Why is the family household run like a military camp with Kokila as sergeant in charge? why do the individuals living there have no freedom to make decisions?
3- What's with the obessesion with the god Krishna? What about other hindu gods?
4- If they are gujaratis, why is Gopi learning to read and write in hindi?
5- About the story line, what happened to Ba, the grandmother? And are the family aware of the state of Gopi's Ahem's marriage? Why did Ahem bring Gopi back when he so obviously dislikes her?

1 - Gopi covers her hair because in August last year, she took back her wedding vows, covering her face and hair from Aham, since then in his presence she covers her face (but we all know we can still see her face, it's something she is doing until Aham tells her he doesn't want her to cover her face from him)...watch all the back episodes to know why took back her wedding vows etc.
2 - Kokila is that sort of saas, and it's traditional for an elder to tell younger members in the house how to do things properly and the younger ones if brought up traditionally follow this advise.
3 - Gopi is extremely attached to Krishna, she's also born on his birthday and from the beginning she has always confided in that god, speaking to him as her only friend in this world. But I thought he is the most prominent God.
4 - I don't know why the CV's decided hindi is better for her to learn then gujirati if I had to guess it's because they are in India and the more prominent language is hindi that everyone speaks it as well.
5 - Baa is in her room, that's all we know, as the actress is very old and is probably suffering health problems for real, so instead of showing her and worsening her health, they just told us she was in her room and they don't mention her again.
