Jiaa Manek television career:
When Jiaa Manek was in college itself she started her acting career. Jiaa Manek acted in commercials like Amul and Vatika hair oil. Before coming to TV she got opportunity in a film called Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke, her role in this was next to negligible though. In this film she played the role of daughter of Om Puri (Sankata Prasad Tripathi) and Neena Gupta (Devkinandan's mother). But her career picked pace when she was signed up by Rashmi Sharma for the lead role in Star Plus serial Saath Nibhaana Saathiya (checkout the full star cast).
Jiaa Manek was first auditioned for a serial called Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chaon Mein but she was found to be very young for the role, so she had to wait. But she did not had to wait long, soon production house thought she is a perfect fit for the role of Gopi who was shown as a nave orphan girl who has always been ill treated by her aunt and cousin.

Gopi's character is very soft and very mature. In the serial Saath Nibhaana Saathiya Gopi's role is the main character. Gopi lost her parents very early in her life and was brought up by her Aunt and Uncle but her Aunt always ill treated her. Her cousin Rashi also always gives her tough time, she is over smart and not very ethical.
