Waise, to be honest, we've seen the bahu's wash the clothes only 3 times

1) Raashi washing the cricket uniforms, when she gives herself the washing powder facial. She was given a punishment for her over-zealous phone bill

2) The Vau exchange when Gopi is whasing those wool blankets and Raashi had to hang them to dry. Thos can't be put in a washing machine, I know that

3) Gopi washing the Holi clothes, that was a punsiment for the bhaang incident

Or else we don't see the bahus washing the clothes.

But I find it stange that Kokila makes her bahus sweep the floors. Thats just ridiculous

Yep the washing machines are for washing Aham's laptop not for clothes...but what struck me about this first episode video is the fact the Modi Bhawan is the best (most beautiful) of all the Star Plus houses, the hall, staircase even the bedrooms are lovely (what we see of them, they do revolve them, also the bathroom I think is only one (the decor is always the same)).
