Why did she suddenly praise the earrings that was odd. Also at breakfast she asked rashi if rashi and gopi were friends or enemies lol

i think its all an act. you saw how tense everyone was. As they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer, i think she is going to do just that with Rashi.

I think Kokila knows her son well, he likes to respect his elders and she knows how to maneuver him to her way of thinking always she wins with him, she decided to allow Gopi to leave and she could now play with him like a cat plays with a mouse, until he acts as she commands. Kokila's way when harsh often brings best results.

I don't think the whole family is aware of what Kokila and Naani's plan is only them two, But Chirag and Parag have recognised how the game is playing out and will let the Natak unfold as it may (you can see it on there faces). However, Hetal doesn't know and hasn't caught on yet, to treating Rashi badly or what Kokila is doing with Aham, if she did she wouldn't be trying to stop Naani speaking or covering for Rashi by offering her services to smooth things over with the chores. Hetal sees too much goodness in people, and treats the Bahu's like children.
