GEC Watch: Top three GECs lose GRPs

STAR Plus, Colors and Zee have retained their top three positions, respectively.

STAR Plus, the flagship Hindi GEC from the STAR stable, has lost 48 GRPs in Week 44 as per TAM data (C&S, 4+, HSM), while retaining the top spot.

The channel's relative share, however, has witnessed a very minor fall from the 27.7 per cent to 26 per cent that it had captured in Week 43.

Viacom18's channel, Colors, maintains its No. 2 position but has witnessed a decline of 28 GRPs to stand at 240 GRPs.

The relative share for Colors, too has declined marginally by 0.8 percentage points 19 per cent in Week 43 to at 18.2 per cent now. Two of the channel's shows - Uttaran with 4.19 TVR and Balika Vadhu with 4.05 TVR - have made it to the Top 10 list.

Zee TV, too, has lost 8 GRPs for in Week 44, garnering 196 GRPs. Its relative share is at 14.9 per cent, while its top show, Pavitra Rishta, has garnered 4.65 TVR.

Sony Entertainment Television is at No. 4 with 178 GRPs, wherein its lead property, Kaun Banega Crorepati, captures the eighth spot in the Top 10 list with a TVR of 4.08. The relative share of the channel is 13.5 per cent.

SAB, at No. 5, has registered 126 GRPs in Week 44, with a relative share of 9.6 per cent. It is followed by Imagine TV, which has recorded a relative share of 8.7 per cent.

STAR One is at No. 7; the channel's relative share is 3 per cent for the week, while its GRPs have fallen from 46 GRPs to 39 GRPs.

DD1 and STAR Utsav have garnered relative shares of 1.8 per cent and 1.9 per cent respectively, while Sahara One has garnered a relative share of 2 per cent.

Interestingly, STAR Plus' show, Saathiya, leads the Top 10 list with a peak TVR of 5.73. This is followed by STAR Plus' other properties - Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (5.4 TVR), Sasural Genda Phool (5.01 TVR), Pratigya (4.87 TVR) and Bidayi (4.7 TVR). The other shows in the Top 10 list are Pavitra Rishta (Zee TV), Uttaran (Colors), Kaun Banega Crorepati (Sony), Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Tere Liye (STAR Plus).

Great ....so have to get ready for more repeat tele-casts(i mean new episodes) ....

now the CVs can boldly say ...

" HEY YOU VIEWERS ... THIS IS ALL WE CAN SHOW ...TAKE IT 👍🏼 OR LEAVE IT 👎🏼 "

and we all can return with our longfaces, heads-down, back to watching the show where Rashi & Kinjal will continue doing their cat-walks...

completely agree nisha.....no doubt we are getting nothing as A Show from SNS but Show itself getting everything as High TRPs every week....

this 3rd week in row where SNS is on the Top Most Slot........so M sure CVs got their moral boosted for showing Kinjal/Rashi Drama instead of Real Story....(may be they are forgot the Real Story..)

I think we have to come to the realization that with SNS this is it, we are not going to get anything better.
