Being the eternal optimist that I am, I was happy that today's episode was not another girl-fest. Ahem got quite a bit of air time, and for that I'll be grateful... :)

So I was thinking about it today, and it occurred to me that there is another possibility to this whole Ahem-is-always-angry thing. (Please forgive if this has been discussed.)

What if Ahem has a Mr. Darcy (from Pride and Prejudice) complex? What if he has realized he is falling for Gopi and is more attracted to her than he'd like to admit? He has had tender moments with her - fire scene, hands touching the spoon etc. What if it's making him crazy because he likes her and can't stand the fact that he is indeed attracted to someone who is 'below' him? What if his tears today were not because his mom was almost hurt, but that he can't believe that Gopi would have done something like this? What if he believes it would be easier on him if she wasn't there in the house to drive him crazy?

What say?

He had tears in his eyes??? Must have missed that will have to check this out.

Tammie, you make an excellent point. It is definitely possible that they may take the story in that direction in the future. However, they haven't shown any indication of this conflict in Aham. He turned negative towards her when he found out about her being uneducated, the haar and other mistakes.

Let's see..

As for the tears, I was going by what the update said... Sadhli? The video I watched wasn't that great so I couldn't tell...

Back to the other points... Ahem's actions are totally in line with what Mr. Darcy would have done. Darcy rejected Elizabeth for a ton of reasons even though he was attracted to her. While he was fighting the attraction, he was totally hard on her for everything. If you haven't ever read Pride and Prejudice, I highly recommend it!

So that I don't go crazy being mad at the story and totally give up on this show, I'm going to happily believe that Ahem is an Indian Mr. Darcy so that I can keep watching... 😊

tam superb analysis n lovely way of puting the thoughts.
I never ever thought in this way bt it is possible,
and tears i saw them n thought it was lil bit wierd for him to cry at that spot as mom is saved n he is doing wt he supposed to do long bk. So no need of cying instead he should be hapy that he got a chance to trow her out.
I was really surprised seeing his anger mixed with emotions first time til nw, as til nw he was never in tears b4 nt wen he lost anita bt this time he was.

So as u said if he has already fallen 4 gopi bt only in dilema to admit it then its good proceeding as at last he wil admit.

Nd yesterday it was gr8 as he got dialogue n screen space both. Hoping same wil remain in future.

I guess we'll all have to wait and see how it all plays out. I'm going to watch with my theory in mind to see if I can find any other clues. Should be interesting. I sure hope I'm right! 😆 I love the whole "conflicted man" angle. lol

Colin Firth will always be Darcy for me too! <sigh> While I like the newer version too, nothing beats that long BBC version! My poor hubby has had to put up with Colin Firth for years now! lol
