I haven't seen the seri jet....

but saw some clips off agni....

and for me the diff. was that:

karen.... was a womanizer and was hitting on shuby.... shuby was all over nahar...and has hurt karens feelings when she insulted him.... and then when shuby was hitting on him , he became evil... and wanted revenge.....

because he knew that shuby was coming on to him because off her hatred for SN.... not because she loved karen....shuby was using karen....

and that is what made him evil....and then the rest you know.....

Agni: as I said haven;'t seen much .... but he is ruled by hatred not more.... and his handicap has also made him ensure about himself.... he has pussed his family away form him....

is that the reason to call him evil or am I missing something here....
