slurp louder than he does. He well get annoyed and tell you to stop it and then you can tell him he should stop it first. 😉

Remember, do onto others, what you'll have them do onto you.

don't drink soda, coffee or anything with cafinie in it. Its bad for the baby. My aunt couldn't eat anything spice and the doctor told her not to put garam malsa in her food. I only know thinks that the doctor told my aunt. I don't know if they'd apply to you or not.

Hi, most of all, listen to your body. When i was pregnant with my son, I developed an aversion towards all spices and anything sour. This was very surprising for me because I'm a girl who loves sour and spicy food. But when pregnant, I couldn't bear to even look at spicy and sour food. Infact, I couldn't even have Orange juice since it's sour. All I craved for is bland rice and curd or bland rice and zeera-daal. I also craved for boondi ke laddu!! :-) So I just ate what my body guided me towards. I believe the body knows what it needs at that time and can guide you.

Firstly...😆

Secondly, it's so heartening to see SPians helping each other out like this. Who knew...something from SP could actually make an impact in our real lives. 😆

Alright, as for the papaya bit...I too was confused, and so I looked it up.

Scientifically speaking, raw papaya and pineapples contain excess amounts of a certain enzyme which increases the likelihood of miscarriages or natural abortion.

I didn't read anything about grapes, but it may just be wiser to avoid grapes as well.

As for what to eat and not to eat beyond that... as the experienced women of this section have told you, eat what your body craves. The scientific reasoning (as only a science major and unexperience bachchi like me can share😉) ... cravings are your body's way of signaling that it is lacking a certain nutrient which can be found in the food that you are craving.

Moderation, as with everything in life, is the key. Indulge in your cravings, but don't overindulge either. 😊

Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy! 😃
When are you expecting?

Hello Slares,

I don't know what to say about papapayas if it causes miscarriages or not. You see my sister-in-law, who was about 4 months pregnant ate papapayas and she did not suffer any miscarriage. Miscarriages usually occur when there is something wrong with baby and your baby rejects it. I suffered a miscarriage in 2004 and it was very painful but Baghwanji had blessed me with another baby three months later. And he is mashallah 16months old now.
Simtara is right you should eat what your body craves but in moderate portions.
Also if you feel drinking tea or coffee drink only 300mg per day not more. Personally I couldn't stand the smell of coffee so instead I had tea every day.
From tea I remembered do not drink herbal teas especially raspberry one. Because it induces labour.
Also avoid moldy cheeses and soft cheeses like brie. Shouldn't eat hot dogs either.
I have to go now but will write tomorrow if you would like to know more.

And CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy. May you have a safe and wonderful experience.
