According to our custon anything you take from your daughter's in laws, you have to return it if not more. So it will be burden on Ambika/Narpat. Saloni was right in returning the money. She told kuki kaki during their garden conversation. My family is not the one takes money fron daughter's in laws. She probabely wanted to prove it. 10,000 is lot of money to accept from sister's kakiji anyway. If Saloni would have given Shubhra that much, it would have been okay according to modern customs.
