Likely Future of SBS

Well one thing is clear, the creatives of SBS tried several tracks all of which were crap like Kiya, Dhivya.. failed to increase the TRP and as a last effort - they are now trying to buy the TRP by bringing in actors who are popular so that the fans of them move to SBS.

If this forum is any indication, the move is working. So what would happen to our old loved SBS? When the TRP will increase, it is natural that Rubina will get more and more air time and the role of Toasty would be cut. She may think she is still the lead but I am sure deep down her heart she knows the reality.. someone who brings the TRP will only stay.

What would happen to our Tej? Again it would be a matter of time after Rubina establishes herself in SBS that Avinash would follow her.. and that would sideline Tej as well..

Even if for arguments sake, we accept Tej and Toasty would remain in lead role, the axe would fall on other Chaturvedi family members who are equally dear to us as afterall the show time is limited to 30 minutes.. so to accomodate some.. you have to sacrifice others..

So, undoubtedly SBS will no longer be our SBS.. while that is sad for SBS fans like us, I can understand why the channel would do this as we loyal fans are not majority in numbers and so thinking of our sentiment does not make a commercial sense and end of the day money speaks..

Will SBS still survive?? I doubt , the main reason for its decline is it's 9PM slot where it is competing with one of the best serial ever made - Diya aur Bati Hum - the chemistry of Suraj and Sandhya is almost impossible to defat - eveident from their record breaking duration in the top of the TRP chart and that too by miles!!

Sony has been the only channel in Television to keep itself away from rona dhona serials but lately it has given up and we can not blame it!! Outstanding serials like Rishta.com, Mahi Ways died death and never gained TRP - so to survive they are back to the tried and tested formula.. We have to accept for Indian audience nothing but Saas dhamakka works - a serial without Saas was never destined to survive in India!!

Anyway good luck to all those true SBS fans who are still hanging around.. I am sure we would meet in some other forum soon..!!

Darshan Jariwala has left today.. quite obvious he will not return from his trip anymore!! Toasty is heading for her cancer and she will be in bed rest and here dies the SBS 😭

But Toasty( I don't know her real name ) herself said that she will not leave the show and the cancer track it's fake , also Rubina will not come b/w Tej and Toasty ! She will be Toasty's childhood friend , she will be bubbly and will spread a positive aura in the show !I will watch this show just because Rubina is there ❤️and we miss her very much and we , Rubina fans , will watch this show !

Why do you look at everything so negatively? Yes, they are bringing new characters in but even the creatives know that replacing the leads will plunge their TRPs...it is something that they definitely will not play around with.

Second of all...Smiley is obviously a character being introduced for some comic relief in the beginning and will probably play an essential role in Toasty's treatment as she works for a hospital...she probably will have contacts or if the track is not one of cancer but instead of Toasty's complicated pregnancy or something like that, as a nutritionist, she will probably play a role in Toasty's health <3

I don't see any extreme danger of losing our SBS right now and when I do, I will jump into action but right now I am ok with whatever the CVs are doing <3 I just want my SBS to keep running...I love my Chaturvedi family way too much <3

Can you do a favour?? If you are convinced that you are right and our SBS is still the same after a week (say).. please post a topic in the forum.. I would come, check and start watching again!! As of tomorrow I am out of SBS anyway..

After reading urs I am laughing...

agree that Rubina is popular and if ever TRP increases after her entry, may be smiley will be established in show. May be she will marry one of the unmarried brother.

but what a joke that avi will follow Rubina...

For ur kind info... Avi is not interested in acting right now... and during the very times of CB2 he announced that, he won't do a show after CB2. And Avi who was known for stub born ness will need a lot of convince to accept a show... and also I guess he won't accept to do a show until he gets a lead. So probably, he won't accept SBS. and regarding rubi getting much time... I observed SBS from starting, they are not from those crappy directors, who moves away from main story and characters becoz of some side actress. and To say frankly, I don't think that Trps will increase even with entry of rubina, becoz, there was no good promotion and The rival shows in the slot are well established that people won't easily move away from those shows to watch SBS. I am not hurting any fans of the show, nor any rubina fans, but sayign the truth.

SO I promise that The main concept of SBS won't be changed even if Rubina enters the show 😊
