Would anyone like to fly over here and take my midterm exams for me? 😆 I'm trying to find some excuses to escape the mountain of work I have because I'm terrified to confront it >.<
Probably won't have any formal gupshup until Thursday but I'll insert some comments here and there to make my feelings clear 😆

Written Update: March 26th, 2012
Part 1:
(Haaaiii...what a lovely way to start my week ☺️...with a TejYa scene...matlab mera hafta achcha hi hoga 😆) Toasty is in the kitchen and Tej comes up behind and puts his face against her shoulder...Toasty jumps a little and exclaims "oyy Ma"...Tej says even her Ma must be in darkness and he was just in the dark. Toasty says so why did you get up, budhu? Tej says exactly, so what is she doing up? It is 4 in the morning and asks her what are you doing? Toasty says you forgot? Today is my biggest exam and everything has to be perfect. Tej looks at her adoringly as she continues making pakode. She looks at Tej and says you want some pakode, take it. Tej takes the spoon from her and puts it down and turns Toasty towards him. He says I can worry about you right? I have this much of a right. Toasty smiles and Tej asks her from where do you bring so much love and concern for everyone? Toasty pats his face and says from my heart...Tej says obviously, there is no doubt that that is true...it's been one and a half years now as I've been watching you work in the kitchen everyday, running around for everyone...you never think about yourself, you haven't even made a cup of chai for yourself. Everyone always says it but I haven't told you yet...in this house...in this Chaturvedi Niwas...you've taken Ma's place. 😳 Toasty smiles and is really happy...they both hug (🥳 I should count how many TejYa hugs we got so far this year 😆 I'm getting spoiled 😆) 😳
Prachin tries to wake up Gyaan to help him bring Golu, Molu, and his other plants up to the roof...Gyaan doesn't want to get up as he still has a half an hour to sleep before having to get up. Prachin starts talking to Golu and tries once again to wake up Gyaan but Gyaan pushes his arm back, while half asleep, and causes Prachin to drop Golu's pot, shattering it. Prachin is furious and asks Gyaan what he did? and slaps him hard across the face. Gyaan asks what did he do? He didn't do it on purpose as he was still asleep! They start fighting and arguing with each other and Toasty comes there and stops them. She sternly calls their names and they tell her what happened...Toasty makes Prachin apologize to Gyaan, which he does grudgingly, and Toasty tells Gyaan to say it's ok but Gyaan refuses to do so. Toasty begs them not to increase her work as she has so much to do today...Prachin says he doesn't need Gyaan's it's ok and he leaves...Gyaan gets up too and they both are upset. Toasty calls out both their names but in vain.
Toasty has set everything up for pooja and Nani ma comes to make sure of the same. Pitaji comes then and asks about how everything is going...Nani ma compares him to the media people wanting to know the latest news...she imitates a media person and says a bet between saas bahu, we'll give you the play by play highlights of what is happening 😆 Pitaji says I just was asking like that and Nani ma asks what is the need for him to know. PItaji says it's my ghalti, I won't ask. Nani ma says it's good that you've accepted that you are wrong. PItaji walks away but then turns back around, about to say something in frustration but then turns back and again and leaves calling to Toasty to please give him his chai and breakfast. Toasty tells Nani ma the same and tells her I'll give you your chai and breakfast once you're done with your pooja...she leaves for the kitchen and Nani ma comments to herself that she is doing good so far but we'll see how long that goes.
In the kitchen later, Nani ma comes to ask whether or not she has given Malti her breakfast and kaada. Toasty says she has made it but Malti woke up late and so she told her to get fresh, and relax first before having breakfast. Nani ma asks her whether or not she made the kaada correctly and Toasty asks her to try it and holds up the plate...Nani ma tries it and Toasty asks how it is. Nani ma says I didn't say anything, meaning that it is fine...there's no need to receive praise for everything. Nitika comes then, about to leave for office, and tries to explain to Nani ma that she has to go today as its important...Nani ma tells her to go and she's not saying anything and that she can do whatever she wants today and everything will be decided in the evening. Toasty has a tiffin prepared for Nitika and Nani ma is a tad impressed that Toasty has the tiffin prepared too..NItika gives her a thumbs up to wish her luck and Toasty waves back.
Gyaan is studying on Vedika's bed and Prachin comes up there, feeling bad for the way he acted before. He tries apologizing to Gyaan but Gyaan ignores him...the cell phone starts ringing (I thought Gyaan didn't have a cell according to that prank they pulled on Vedika 😕 😆) Prachin points out that his phone is ringing but Gyaan continues to ignore him... Prachin picks up the phone and goes around and taps Gyaan's shoulder with it and Gyaan says the phone is ringing? He taps his ear and snaps his fingers and says I can't hear anything. Prachin thinks he is just trying to scare him at first but then remembers his hard slap in the morning and he gets worried.
Part 2:
Toasty congratulates herself on how productive she has been in finishing so much work as the shop vaala tiffin is done as well (she's reminding me of newly wed Toasty, congratulating herself on a job well done 😊) Pitaji calls her just then and reluctantly tells her about having guests that are coming tonight...Vimla's relatives and that there are 6 of them...he asks her if she will be able to manage or not--in a worried way (Aww, it's sweet seeing Pitaji being so concerned for Toasty 😊 Really, PItaji has changed so much...remember Toasty's mooh dikhai when he invited so many people and expected Toasty to be able to serve so many of them...now seeing the concern for her and not wanting to increase her workload substantially is really sweet 😊) Toasty says she will do it and everything will be done and not to worry.
In the hall, Toasty and Nani ma are talking and Nani ma says that if they are Vimla's relatives then they must be Pappu and his family--her sister's grandchild's family--Toasty says isn't it weird that they are our family but everyone is meeting after so many years. Nani ma says this is how things are here...when people don't even really know their own neighbors, then relatives are a far matter. Toasty says I already made food according to our family but I'll have to go and add some more to each of the dishes now that we are having more people over. Nani ma tells Toasty that if they are coming, they don't eat food with onions or cloves (I think she said lavang...am going off of memory so can't remember the small details 😆) She notices Toasty looks a little worried and asks what's wrong. Toasty says I already made it according to our family so I added onions and cloves...but that's ok, I'll make the food again. Nani ma says you'll make it again!? Toasty says yeah, what problem is there in doing this? Gyaan and Prachin come down just then and Prachin tries to quietly tell Toasty about Gyaan not being able to hear but Nani ma overhears and asks what happened to Gyaan's ear...Prachin says he slapped Gyaan this morning and Nani ma tells him I'll slap you now...she asks Gyaan to let her look at it...she suggests putting some warm coconut oil and shoots down Toasty's taking him to the doctor idea at first but Toasty begs her to listen this time and to take Gyaan to doctor as they need to make sure there isn't any damage before it's too late and that we won't be able to tell whether or not there is damage done to his ear. Nani ma agrees and Prachin asks to come along too but Nani ma scoldingly tells him to stay here.
At the doctor's office, the doctor says that everything is fine and that there is just a bit of swelling. Toasty asks about Gyaan not being able to hear...the doctor says iause of accumulation of wax in his ears over the years and asks if his mother never cleaned his ears. Nani ma looks upset and Pitaji remembers one of his last moments with Vimla when she tells him that he is there and that she knows he will take care of the children. Pitaji tells the doctor that Gyaan's mother passed away and that his father, though he took care of him and did all he could, could never become his mother as well. The doctor says sorry and then prescribes some meds for Gyaan and tells him to check his ears regularly. Gyaan says no worries as Toasty bhabhi is there and she looks after me like a mother. Nani ma looks at Toasty with that stern look (you'd think she would at least be happy that Toasty is looking after her grandchild well enough...she should be impressed with the amount of care and concern Toasty has...the way she worries about Gyaan like a mother should be something that Nani ma should appreciate for the sake of her grandchild's well-being being taken care of)
Part 3:
Tej and Ved are at home and sitting in the hall with Dadaji and Prachin...Ved gets a call telling that Gyaan is okay and once he hangs up he says thank God, Gyaan is ok. Tej says to Prachin, but if you ever do something like this again, then I will see you. Prachin says bhaiyya there is no need a I will see myself first over the matter before you do anything. Tej says meaning? Dadaji says leave all of this...think about how much of Toasty's time has been wasted in all of this...there's still so much work to be done. Tej says meaning everything is still left to be done...Dadaji says yes...Tej says great..now we'll lose for sure. Prachin says not necessarily...we can do all of the work and even cut the veggies and then all Toasty would have to do once she's home is make the food. Tej praises Prachin for this idea but Ved is reluctant as it would be cheating. Tej says it's not cheating as everything is fair in love and war..and what they are doing is for a good cause as Nitika will get to keep her job...this makes Ved happy and he agrees...they all run off and start doing work: Ved washes the clothes, Tej is pressing clothes, Dadaji is cutting vegetables, and Prachin is mopping the floor (🤣 It's entertaining watching all of them work...haaii, we need to see more of this!! 😆)
They hear Gyaan call out that they're home and they all quickly drop what they are doing and try to look casual (🤣 Look at Ved's attempt at a smile 🤣) Prachin pushes the bucket of water away with his foot and Dadaji tries to hide the plate with the vegetables under his newspaper. Nani ma, Toasty, and Pitaji walk in then and Nani ma comments over why they all are smiling like that... Dadaji says in happiness of hearing that Gyaan's ear is fine. Nani ma looks a little suspicious...Toasty sees the wet clothes that are hung and says these clothes...Tej cuts her off and says are washed and hung..wow, what speed Toasty works at...all the work was done so fast today!
(Jaanu, you're horrible at covering up yaar...Nani ma ullu ki patti nahin hai...she must have picked up on your cover up for sure...aur vaise bhi, when Nani ma was home the entire day in the hall, isn't it obvious that Toasty didn't do that work as she would have seen Toasty washing the clothes and ironing for sure...and she would have noticed that there were no clothes hanging before they left with Gyaan...especially with how observant Nani ma is) Toasty gives Tej a strange look and then realizes what everyone did...she looks emotional...Tej tries to get her away from the scene of the crime and tells her to go get tea for everyone. Toasty goes off and Dadu asks Gyaan to take him to the kitchen...Gyaan asks why and Dadu tells him to just do what he is told 😆)
The guests come to visit, eat, and then they leave...all in quick scenes, thank goodness 😆
Everyone is sitting in the hall and Pashu is about to go check on Malti (it's been a couple days since Malti's been shown...I wonder if she is just on a break or if she has started working in another show as well along with SBS 😆) Tej asks him to stay back for a minute as the time has come for Nani ma to announce her decision...he tells Nani ma that Toasty did every work that she needed to today, fulfilling the bet/conditions, and that too perfectly just as Nani ma wanted it done (😆 He even says that the food was very toasty...I mean tasty 😆)...Toasty looks really guilty. Pitaji tells Nani ma that he will agree with whatever decision she makes but Toasty did fulfill the conditions. Nani ma also agrees that Toasty fulfilled it and so that means that Nitika can do the job...she says this unhappily and looks at Toasty while Toasty looks back at her guiltily. Episode ends on Toasty's guilty face.
(Okay, now I'm damn sure that Nani ma knows that Toasty didn't do that work--first of all because it's obvious that Toasty didn't--and with how observant Nani ma is, I'm sure she picked up on it and is now waiting for Toasty to fess up to it...she may even be disappointed that Toasty hasn't admitted to it yet. I feel like Toasty should go tell her and then Nani ma should still let Nitika work and agree that Toasty is capable of handling everything because she would have been able to do everything if there weren't such unusual circumstances...and she should be impressed with Toasty giving up on her work to take care of Gyaan and make sure that he is okay...Toasty showed her priorities today as Gyaan is more important to her than any other important test to prove herself...and if she is trying to prove that she is like Vimla, then she proved it today by showing that she cares about Gyaan like a mother as for a mother, her child and his safety always comes first--Nani ma should realize this. A great bahu/wife/Ma isn't measured by how well she can handle the housework and how perfectly. Someone like Toasty may make mistakes in her work but she manages the relationships in the household and gives so much love and care to everything she does and to all the members of the family...she has dedicated her life to this family...Vimla is characterized as being like this and Toasty has proved again and again that she is like this as well).
Pre-Cap: Prachin suggests they do something in celebration for Nitika getting her job and Toasty succeeding...Tej praises Toasty as well...they decide to have an awards night. Prachin and Gyaan are shown hosting the Chaturvedi awards night 😆
