Looks like the crap that we got closed a couple of months back has started again. There is a group of people who insist on opening multiple threads about the private lives of the lead pair all quoting the same "article" which cannot be found anywhere on net, except one malicious post.

This time the attack is more vicious - these people are flooding the Phulwa forum as well with their nonsense. One more thing about these posters. None of them is ready to give you the link to the original article. And they all login at around the same time and disappear together. They are newbies mostly.

All I can do is request all forum members to simply hit the report button as soon as you see a thread on the private lives of the actors. It is against forum rules. The threads are simply created to malign the character of the actors. They are vicious personal attacks and should be treated as such.

you can not even discuss gossips?? I think even the celebrities won't like that because it is those juicy gossips that works as publicity for them !!
There is a difference between our private lives (which is really private) and a celebrities private life which nowhere in the world is private. .. If it is not allowed.. all Page 3 would have been banned now..
Offcourse maligning someone's character single mindedly is bad but putting a ban on discussion of any celebrities private life.. is bit autocratic.. Imagine someone banning discussion on Amitabh-Rekha gossip!!
Anyway Mr. Sibal would definitely be happy seeing such proposals.. censorship when people fighting for freedom of information!!!

@akash

You are wrong my friend. Just because a person chooses to appear in a field that puts him/her in the public eye, does not mean that their private lives are open to discussion.

By this token - it is ok for students to discuss the private lives of their teachers in school and even create and spread gossip about them. This kind of attitude is the one that saw the demise of Princess Diana being chased by those butchering paparazzi.

When a person appears in a public sphere, only the work that brings him/her is open to discussion and not the private life. We cannot be putting cameras in actor's toilets, just because they chose to act.

We are not talking of Page 3 appearances here, nor are we talking about articles/news that are released by the PR agencies of the actors' themselves. Almost all actors say that they do not want to discuss their private lives. In their interviews they talk about their work and not private lives. When they are in a relationship, a few choose to disclose it to public. Such disclosures are of course open.

We are talking of unfounded speculation about private lives. Creating stories and idle speculations are to be condemned. These sort of discussions only encourage wastrels to destroy the lives of people. The people who create and spread rumors about others are simply sick in mind, who derive pleasure in destroying others.

By the way do you realize that the tagging structure in India-Forums is so strong that almost the first link you would see on Ravi and Sargun would be an article or post published here. Doesn't that tell you how vicious this sort of attack is? Every time someone searches for these actors the first page would carry a link to this rumor.

By keeping quiet about such threads and posts we are therefore allowing people to destroy the public image and characters of people we like. We are also helping create a negative image of India-Forums too as a place where unfounded rumors about actors thrive.

None of us would want to be part of such muck-raking I think. This is why it is imperative that we act responsibly and nip all such malicious attempts in the bud.

well I will always differ. You just can not get both.. you can not think you can enjoy the limelight of being a public figure and then also get the advantage that your private life wont be discussed. Being a public figure.. comes the responsibility of matured and decent behaviour because you are idle of many and you are being watched..
Bill Clinton could have shouted not to discuss monica lewinsky as it is his private life !!
Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs would have cried foul that someone brought their open secrets in Public life !!
No where in the world.. cdelebrities are spared.. it is simple .. once you are a celebrity.. you are being watched.. and you will be watched..
If IF creates its own rule good enough..
PS: I condem maligning anyone by spreading intentional false rumours but I strongly object that you can not discuss someone's affair !!

Well, gossip is an important part of life for most people. It ranges from talks about distant relatives within a family to friends to neighbors to work colleagues to bosses to famous celebrities. However, there has to be a certain dignity with which one handles such news because people we are talking about are human beings too. Moreover, it becomes ridiculous when someone takes gossip about celebrities too personally. These people are not even remotely related to X, Y or Z celebrity but comes out and talk about them as if the so called break-ups affected their lives at personal level. In fact, in this particular case, the article is evidently not true. The English language used in forming this fake news is very unprofessional to say the least. I am not saying that journalists don't make mistakes in writing an article, they do at times, but this one is full of blunders...in sentence making, word spelling, punctuation, grammar, paragraph making etc etc. Incidentally, similar spelling mistakes can be seen in the comment posts made by those (fake newbie) IDs. I'll just say that everyone should have a good judgement to enjoy gossip and keep it harmless (as well as less annoying to those who may not be interested in the same). I feel this one person who makes such dirty news about SBS actors is looking for some cheap fun in life and is somehow sick at a certain level.
