I think there is a big difference between not fighting for your rights and actually making an effort to adjust.
What I like about Toasty is that she is willing to overlook her hardships to make a relationship work. Its too soon to call her a doormat.
As we see, the relationship she establishes will create genuine affection and concern for her in the men.

I guess you need not be a certain age or belong to a certain community to be able to tell if something is inhuman or unjust. What Toasty is undergoing is pure torture and she is under too much pressure to resist.

I live in India and above 30, plus I am married with a kid, yet rationality has no age barrier. Toasty's behaviour cannot be endorsed on purely human grounds.

How would one react if a man underwent so much at his in laws place? Some people have different mindsets for a man and another for a woman and the show is catering to make them feel nice about themselves.

I hope today episode again showed that toasty is not a doormat and rather a very intelligent girl that knows how to deal with people. You saw a clear contrast between a bahu who was "fighting for her right" and forcing herself into the heart of others and you see one who realizes that these people don't love me like a sister yet. I must first win there hearts and then perhaps they will trust me and actually feel sympathy for me. Toasty is a school teacher. She nows how to deal with kids, and without a mom all of the 5 brothers become nothing but kids.
