Article:Karan grover on why he quit Saart

I didn't have time to continue with Saarthi..so, my track as Arjun has been killed. My producer (Asit Modi) was not okay with the decision, because I was the central character. I wanted to focus on Meri Awaz.Ko Mil Gayee Roshni, so I requested him to wind up my track as soon as possible without compromising the storyline. Thankfully, that has been done. These past two months have been very hectic. I was hardly going home. From a 9 a m to 10 p m shift for Meri Awaz.. I'd run to the Saarthi set and shoot till 7 a m. The only time I'd get to catch a few winks would be in the car while travelling from one set to the other. No bad blood My co-stars have been very co- operative. I knew it was causing stress to them though none of them – my director, co-stars, executive producer, cameraman – ever created a fuss or threw a tantrum. Everyone did night shifts because of me. They've been very co-operative.I'm really sorry for all the inconvenience I've caused. Saarthi is a big hit..I hope it stays that way. Saturation I was part of Saarthi for 520 episodes but as an actor, I felt the need to do something different. Acting as Raj in Meri Awaz.. has given me that opportunity. Well, so did the character of Arjun. But, h o n e s t l y, I was getting a bit saturated by the charac- ter. I'm look- ing toimprove as an actor. I know Saarthi's TRPs are better than those of Meri Awaz... But one can't compare a show that's run for more than 500 episodes with a new one. The TRPs of a show have nothing to do with my decisions. 520episodes Besides Karan Grover, Saarthi's l lead actress Neha Devi Singh aka Bhumika, was also replaced by Zalak Thakkar a few months ago.
