Of all the Star Bharat shows, I'm enjoying this show the most.
The brash hero with a heart of gold, disillusioned by the system, working on the wrong side of the law, in conflict with his upright straight-laced elder brother, despised by his snobbish younger brother, protected by his bhabhi, enabled by his money-minded sister - all gives a 70s bollywood sort of vibe. I don't think I've seen this trope being used on desi telly for a while either.
The tragedy Vijay is probably about to face gives the family scenes that additional layer of significance. It's like there's this invisible clock counting down on their days of routine bickering and companionable unity.
But it'll be interesting to see how Vijay emerges from the web of dirty politics he's being unknowingly drawn into as a pawn. The girl he's fallen for (actually, stalking -_-) is probably the daughter of one of these grimy neta-cum-dons. Which means both his workline and his lovelife may prove to be fatal for his family. Cue in the guilt, anger and absolute drive to take the perpetrators down by saam, daam, dand, bedh...
