yeah people shall not make a big deal with this.... applies to everyone though 😆

Well first i am not sure if media quoted her or misquoted her.... because they have not quoted any statement from her to this effect😆.... well as indian media is powerful it is quite manipulative too to create controversies 😛

exactly what i was thinking. people who don't even follow islam throw around "inshallah" and "mashallah" kinda like "hey, how are you doing?" i don't understand why people do that. it makes no sense to me.

I wonder there was no hue and cry when Zee TV and Ismail Darbar made the contestants from his gharana visit a mosque.... People shall become more liberal I believe 😃

i never heard about that. i'm assuming no one said anything about that because a contestant didn't speak out against it. it's always when someone speaks out and expresses his/her true feelings that people go crazy.

either way, i don't agree with SRGMP having any sort of religious connection.

Yes, none of muslims should say these. This is not religious statement, everybody know what does muslim believe. This is the most basic requirement for being a muslim to believe only in Allah. Without this believe one can not be a muslim. I think you also know about it.Same way other religion has their basic necessity, it is not at all a religious statement.

Dont mind jadoo bhai.... but when u say its basic necessity of RELIGION.... it becomes religious 😃

I said its individual choice for hindus to preach allah as AR rehman or Himesh does.... and for other religions to believe in god in any form.... Let it run in individual choices than religious choices 😃

Moderator's Note:

Ok now, please stop this religious based discussions.. Lets not get into the details of this.. There is no use talking about other religious sentiments and arguing what the other religion says etc... According to the rule of the section such discussions will not be permitted... So, now its the final call for all, stop this discussion here.. There are other quotes in the article which can be discussed.. Anyone now instigating members to get into religious discussions, will definitely face strict action from the Dev Team

I wonder Zee did not anticipate this slogan contoversy happening or they wanted to use this controversy for TRp's.

Can't they have slogans after gharanas have been formed. Than the mentor can talk with the team about the slogans and choose a slogan with a consesus.

Zee has no excuse for not thinking through such matters. Not everyone takes things lightly. In the world we live in, people have all kinds of thinking and outlook.

I think this is only gharana with this volatile slogan! The rest are ok ... Himesh gharana can just say 'Lets rock' ... Adesh's 'Jai ho mangal mai ho' is also fine and Pritam's 'Dhoom macha de' is probably the most secular of all ... so all Zee needed to have done was think up another one ... whats the big deal??? The show has not gone truly international yet is all I would say!

And on Sara's preference of clothes, totally her choice and she should be given freedom there ... while singing she has to be in her comfortable best or it will most likely affect her singing ... if not Zee her mentor should surely support her in this and she has one of the best mentors in teh competition!

That's about the sum of it: "har har mahadev" was a disastrously poor choice of slogan.

Whether Sara personally has reservations is not the point. The point is that the spectacle of her saying the slogan will not go down well at all with Muslim audiences. This is simply a fact. It may even put her in personal jeopardy.

The person --- producer? scripter? -- who thought up this slogan should be fired immediately, before any more of his "bright" ideas make things worse.

I think the slogan has nothing to do with religion. The mentor (Guru) of this gharana is Shankar Mahadevan. SO he is just asking his disciples to hail his name Har Har Mahadev 😃

Or may be the channel should modify the slogan very minutely by saying it Mahadevan instead of Mahadev..

Har Har Mahadevan! 😊
