your categories , "love at first hearing sounds" like " love marraige" while " love after repeated hearing" sounds more like "arranged marraige" 😛 😆
anyways, to start with i absoulately loved "jiya dhadak dhadak jaaye " in first hearing ...also "bheege hont tere " 😳

Jeeya dhadak dhadak is absolutely a landmark song. I think it would have been a hit even if it had been made in the Golden Era - I can't count this as a song belonging to this generation of 'hip' songs.

I love your comparison with love marriage and arranged marriage! 😆

There are so many others, will just list a few off the top of my head:

Maana mere haseen sanam
Jaane kahan dekha hai
Jaag dil-e-deewana
Kuhu kuhu bole koyaliya
Pi bin soona ri
Ritu aaye ritu jaaye sakhi ri
Apni aankhon mein basaakar
Tu mere saamne hai teri zulfen hain khuli
Kachi hai umariya kori hai chunariya
Kuch aur zamana kehta hai

Here's another one by Lata from the film Durgesh Nandini that I'm uploading for your listening pleasure.

I would agree with you about ARR! In fact, many of them don't feel either in 1st or 2nd category for me.

I agree with that too. In most ARR albums, only one or two songs appeal to me initially (like Taal Se Taal Mila, Ajooba, Mitwa, Banno Rani, Hum Hain Is Pal Yahaan, and Jashn-E-Bahaara)...the rest take a while to grow on me. But in my case, there are VERY few ARR songs that I never end up connecting with.

Nice topic, there are hundreds of songs in my case which have appealed to me for the first time i heard and further exploration of the song/singer/poet/lyricist/film/music director etc concerned with the song has the effect of addition of more songs into the list.

Here not only Hindi film songs but folk songs, light songs, songs of various Indian & international languages come to the category for eg the song "Dont worry be happy". Way back i used to listen to lot of radio stations and BBC radio had one such programme called "Anything goes" where they used to play vintage English songs which were absolutely mesmerising.

Some of Hindi film songs which have appealed to me instantly are:(there are numerous songs but i will try to restrict myself)

Talat mahmood's
Tasveer banata hoon
Jalte hain jiske liye
Shaam e gham ki kasam

Kishoreda's
Aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu
Ye kaun chitrakaar hain
Dil aaj shaayar hain

Hemant kumar's
Hain apna dil to awaara
Bekaraar karke hamein
Jaane woh kaise log the jinke

Mukesh's
Chandan sa badan
Jaane kaha gaye woh din
kabhi kabhi mere dil mein

Rafi's
Hain duniya usiki
Dard e dil
Maine poocha chaand se

ufff will be back with more😃

I think one starts listing from this era, there will be just too many to list!
Among Talat's songs, one that grew upon me was "raat ne kya kya khwaab dikhaaye". Just love that song but I remember it did not appeal instantly.

For me there are just too many golden era songs to list and I am not even going to make an attempt.

Regarding the new era songs (90s onwards), I do not know much about them as I haven't followed the music as actively because of all the noise and less melody. But of the current era MDs, the one that impresses me most is MM Kreem (apart from ARR, of course). His songs remind me of golden era period. He is one of the few MDs of today's era to whom melody still comes ahead of everything and a good majority of his songs sound very melodious. I find his songs soothing, heart warming with high lyrical value. Many of his songs appealed me right in the first hearing and made me look for his music albums, on CDs or online. Some such songs I would like to list...

1. jaane kitane dinon ke baad gali mei aaj chaand nikala (Alka, Zakhmi)

2. jaadu hai nasha hai (Shreya, Jism)

3. chalo tumko lekar chale (Shreya, Jism)

4. aa bhi jaa aabhi jaa (Lucky Ali, Sur)

5. tu mile dil khile (Kumar Sanu, Criminal)

6. kabhi shaam dhale to mere dil mein aa jaana (Mahalaxmi Iyer, Sur)

I will add more to this...

From the golden era, there are just too many songs to list ... but i remember one song that i listened to on radio, as a child, distinctly even today ... more cos it was and still is a very rarely played song on radio ... for some reason i loved it then and wanted to keep listening to it again and again ... but ...well the song was 'kabhi tanhayiyon mein yun hamari yaad aayegi'...

Now for the new era ... I am one of those who feel we should move on with the times 😊 and so a lot of new songs have appealed to me, some instantly and many later ... I love the dinchak dance numbers of today and most that hv appealed instantly to me are the catchy dance numbers 😊 Listing, from the top of my head, only the ones from the last 1 yr or so down here
Fast numbers -
Soni de nakhre from Partner
Kiya kiya from Welcome
Sajniji vari vari from Honeymoon travels pvt. ltd
Nagara from JBW (i did not like mauja hi mauhja tho 😉 😊)

Some slow numbers with instant appeal -
Jashn-e-bahara from Jodha Akbar (incidentally the only one i like from JA)
Jab se tere naina from Saawariya
Ajab si from OSO
Tare Zameen Par

Songs that hv grown on me -
All songs from Metro
Yeh Ishq haaye from JBW
