Great idea! It's not a hard task at all... sab ke dimaak me kam se kam 3 gaane toh immediately aate hai.

Of course...there's room for interpretation on some themes...but this is a fun idea 😊 Shall I start then...?

Okay, not a hundred percent sure if they qualify, but here are my guesses/thoughts:

1) Gori tera gaon bada pyaara...
2) O daya re daya re chadh gayo papi bichua
3) Main toh bhool chali baabul ka des (😆 not strictly a gaon song, but this always reminds me of a village setting - haven't seen the movie or vid clip, so i'm guessing here)
...okay ran out of steam 😆
4) insert any regional song ... punjabi?
5) insert 2nd regional song... gujrati?

😆 well i tried...kind of got hung up on the first three then started watching "leke pehla pehla pyaar" (original) on youtube. 😃

I agree Gori tera gaon bada pyaara will surely be there. Thats the first song that comes to the mind when it comes to Village songs 😆 Rest even I have no idea.

How about maybe some song on Panghat. Is there any such song. More Panhat pe nandlal is not exactly in the same genre.

See.. I'm not sure if the retro is about filmi songs set in gaons or is it regional songs..you know, the typical village songs we don't hear in films. Two different things na.

Waise... I keep thinking of Swades songs for this category 😆 Pity that doesn't fall into the "retro" category...yet

Kya gaana yaad dilaaya sabzi - it's so typical of a village setting...shayad tumhaara guess sahi ho

agree with u ..wot i guess is that ....song will b related to mitti n dhul bhi ho sakte hain😳

Its filmy songs and not regional. Now with the Swedes word I recall one more. No idea if thats going to be there or not. "Mere Desh Ki Dharti". Atleast the picturisation is of Gaon in that song. 😆
